The pipes are sturdy when new and easy to hook together. If you can install them in a place where they will never be disturbed again, they will probably be ok. The plastic is thin and (once it weathers) gets very brittle. Graze it with a weedeater, bump it walking by, or let the wind shift it and it will break. I sure hoped to get a few years of service at least from these.

I noticed that the downspout extension that came with my new house had cracked open, creating a lake next to the house. That seemed suboptimal so I got a couple of these to replace it. Some people have mentioned they're hard to expand; they're a little stiff but I opened them up fine and I'm a small woman, so if I can do it you probably can too.They were super easy to fit snugly on the downspout (the old one was screwed onto the fitting, but these don't need any hardware). I fit two of them onto one another to create a long path for the water and the joint between them doesn't seem to leak. Highly recommended!

I have purchased gutter extensions in the passed, but from Home Improvement stores. Due to Covid, I didn't want to have to go into the store to purchase this item, so I search for it on Amazon. The product arrived within a reasonable amount of time, and is a quality product. As with my other gutter extensions, I recommend using at least one screw to anchor the extension to the gutter. This prevents it from coming detached in a heavy rain.

I have mulch and before I had this flex drain I had the short flat every day one that looks like a pan. I used to loose a lot of mulch with the flat one as the water would be directed INTO the flower bed hence creating wash away of my mulch. Mulch is expensive!!! Now I have my flex drain and I extended it to my walk way so water is directed onto the concrete path. No matter how hard it rains when I walk to my drive way I no longer see my mulch washing away down my drive way

This was exactly what I needed. I have a section of outer wall that cuts in from the rest of the house and the downspout dumps water directly in front of the doorway there. I needed something to push that water away and move it toward our drainage system. This was the perfect solution. It fit easily and securely to the end of the downspout and the collapsible tube made it easy to adjust to the right length. I did a quick search through Lowe's/Home Depot and this was cheaper than anything I found locally so it was a no brainer. Definitely happy with this purchase.

Works well if it stays in place but it tends to slip down.

Front porch would take on overflow rain water due to a downspout draining into a flowerbed surrounded on all four sides by concrete. This downspout extension absolutely fixed that problem! Simply stretched the extension to desired length. Very pleased with its’ discrete presentation at point of discharge. Look hard, it’s there...

No complaints. Ordered another to append as I need a longer drain pipe.

It is a little stiff to pull apart. It has 2 different sized ends, one for smaller downspouts, one for larger.
