Fantastic and Robust Fly Through Feeder!!!
This fly through bird feeder is fantastic. The first one I ordered was missing the removable seed tray so I sent it back to Amazon for a refund and got a new one.I love that it incorporates recycled products, it's built like a tank, it won't rot, and it is very spacious and accommodating for my first visitors today at the feeder, which were two Eastern Blue Birds. The removable seed tray is well-built and easily cleaned and removed from the base. I also have a few other Bird's Choice open tray feeders, and they actively support about 30 species of birds in my backyard. I have been exceptionally pleased with the reliability and durability of Bird's Choice feeders.I bought a 4 foot plastic coated wire rope (available on Amazon) with looped ends and ran it under the roof to suspend the tray feeder and it works great without any drilling or tapping or mounting processes. I also used a Nite-ize double #3 locking carribeaner to secure the two cable loop ends and hook it just about anywhere with an available hook or ring for suspension. The price point is well worth buying the feeder a second time. I am awaiting my refund for my first, even though the seed tray, a most pivotal part of this feeder did not show up with my first purchase.Hope you enjoy this feeder and the many birds it will eloquently attract if you do decide to purchase this fly- through feeder!

As good as they get
This is a bird feeder for those of you (and us) who began feeding birds with a relatively cheap bird feeder, then fell in love with it so thoroughly that they are now buying a major upgrade. We began with one of those window bird feeders, which was affixed to the pole in the photos to deter squirrels. It worked delightfully, but began falling apart after a couple years. It was time to go from the ol' 98' Toyota Corolla to the 2020 BMW 745. This is a beautiful feeder, and constructed in a way that feels almost completely indestructible. It is massive compared to flimsy little window feeders, but CRUCIALLY allows you to see birds on any side of the feeder. Virtually all of our birds-- and there are really a-lot, even in mid January-- sit in the tree pictured behind the feeder, and fly back and forth from there. This feeder allows them to comfortably do so, and ensures that we don't need to crane our necks, or wonder what the bird on the other side of the feeder was. Lastly, the price for this one is lower than the considerable number of others that I checked- and cannot be beat in terms of quality and aesthetic appeal. My only critique would be that it came without mounting instructions. I drilled into the bottom to mount it on a flange- but doing so always feels risky without directions. It has stayed put, very, very solidly for a week in the wind.Note the plethora of birds in the tree, as well as the ones in the feeder. We have seen plenty of sparrows (yawn), MANY purple finches, doves, blue jays, cardinals, chickadees, red headed wood peckers, downy wood peckers, and the occasional other passer through. This is in sad January, and there was absolutely no hesitation from any birds to use this feeder.

We have bears and raccoons
We live in the Colorado Rockies, so bears and other wildlife are part of the equation here. We all know a fed bear is a dead bear, so I try to be responsible with my feeders. That means bringing them in every night or hanging them where the bears and raccoons cannot get to them. We have a pulley system to hang our feeders on. They end up about 20 feet off the ground.I modified this feeder to hang on our "clothes line" that we installed from the house second story deck out to a tree. The feeder can be reeled in for reloading, but keeps them safely away from the midnight marauders.I bought some heavy duty coated cables. They may seem like overkill, but the benefit is that the feeder is extremely stable. I drilled four holes and installed eye hooks and then some S hooks that I bent to make them more "permanent" to attach the cables to the eye hooks. I then took on more S hook and bent it one side to attach the two cables together and voila, a hanging feeder.I love this company's products. If you look, you can see the suet feeder is also one of theirs. I just modified the kick plate to install some wood pieces to be able to attach branches to. it gives the birds something to land on when arriving, even the Hairy Woodpeckers appreciate it.I put shelled sunflower seeds, shelled peanuts, and suet balls in the feeder. No mess to clean up with no shells. The few that are tossed out by discriminating birds are quickly munched up by chipmunks below.

Withstood bear attacks!
This is an excellent birdfeeder--sturdy and attractive. I love the mesh screen for easy cleaning and my little nuthatches can eat from the bottom up. That it is made in the USA and from recycled material makes it a win, win, win purchase worth every penny. I have had two bear attacks this month and even tho this feeder was torn off the post, and thrown six feet, it doesn't have a scratch or loose or bent piece on it. I cannot recommend this highly enough. My birds love it and so do I!

Bird Feeder that will weather well.
The quality of the materials used to construct this bird feeder are substantial. However, the width of the removable metal platform on the bottom is such that there is a small gap where the seeds can fall through.

Awesome feeder
UPDATE: Three years later the feeder is like new. It survived many storms, winds, ice and snow. Only the removable screen got rusted a bit. It's large and heavy. I had my doubts about mounting it on a pole due to its weight. But so far it's holding on strongly in heavy rain and strong wind. I attached it to a 1 1/4" pole using the flange (sold separately). It's super easy to clean thanks to the removable screen. The seeds stay dry in the rain (or dry very quickly), so no mess there. Birds love it, even mourning doves fit in it.Also a plus - it's made of recycled plastic.

Very Nice and Sturdy
It took the birds a bit to get used to it because I had it on a low table. Now they love it. Very sturdy. Easy to clean. I am very pleased with this. The squirrels like it too which is fine with me.

Excellent choice to have.
Extremely well built and sturdy. I have had the larger size now for a few years and it has stood up very well to all kinds of weather.Added the smaller one as well, keeps the seeds dry during rain and snow. All kinds of birds visit the feeders.

Good product - sturdy and easy to clean
Good sturdy bird feeder. The mesh bottom is removeable to clean out the seed shells.I did buy this to give some cover for the Bluejays in the wintertime but the opening isn't as large as I had hoped. Some of the bluejays aren't comfortable flying into the opening. The other birds and squirrels love it though.
