Good product, excellent customer service.
Our neighbor insulated his garage and recommended this product. We looked at his garage and liked what we saw and garage was cooler! We have a typical FL house with one large and one small garage door so we bought 2 units of the insulation. We tackled the small door first and it took us probably 4-5 hours to insulate that door. A lot of time is consumed removing and then replacing the horizontal braces on the door after the insulation is applied. A power rachet is necessary.Application is straight forward and pretty easy if you have 2 people. Insulation is easy to cut; no mess or cleanup. We started the large door today and it's definitely more time consuming but not hard.We had a problem when we opened the second box of insulation and found that we had 9' lengths instead of 18' lengths. Could not finish the job. I emailed the company (on a Sunday morning) and Mike got right back to me about the problem and promised a replacement shipment next day and a return label for the wrong product.Could not ask for better service than this.I would recommend the product. A few more neighbors on the street will be buying this to do their garages. The $200 spent is worthwhile upgrade to the garage.

I Can Hardly Believe it!
I'm glad i researched garage door insulation kits and ecstatic i chose this particular product. Firstly, i could tell the difference in temperature as each panel went up. I can't believe how much cooler the garage is immediately after install! I live in FLorida and it's already hot currently 84degrees on March 14th. Secondly, the price is right for a two car garage. Thirdly, the owner responded quickly when i had a question. Fourthly, the product is certainly less than 3 pounds of weight (perhaps with installation kit and packaging it's less than 5 pounds in the mail). Other heavier kits will take a toll on the garage door moter! Fifthly, it's as easy (if not easier) to install than what i anticipate other types of kits would be. Make sure you clean surfaces before taping and allow at least two hours for tape to settle in adherance before attatching product. i waited days so i could have help. I have hurricane bars on my garage door and it actually helped to secure the product. It's best if you have a helper as two sets of hands are better than one when it comes to affixing the product. I spent a couple hours cleaning and taping by myself a few days before i got a friend to help me today to do the rest in under two hours! BEST INVESTMENT I'VE MADE IN A WHILE. I'm ceretain it is just as effective for keeping garage worm in cold weather.

Do not waste your money
What a piece of crap. First off, the tape doesn't adhere to the garage door. I followed the installation instructions to the letter. Cleaned the door using Windex. Dried it. Installed the tape. Waited 24 hours for it to 'tack up'. Then installed the foam using the squeegee to press it into the tape. Next day all the edges of the foam has lifted off, tape firmly adhered to the foam. I re-press the foam/tape back to the door. Two hours later one whole row has completely fallen off the door. And the insulation itself? No fricking way the 1/4" amount of foam is going to do anything to keep the cold out.

Garage door insulation hints and comments
I used this to attach to a garage door in Florida. Theres quite a lot of work in sizing and notching. The panels may not be exactly the same width as the supplied material. If you are NOT handy with a measuring tape, straight edge and cutting knife then you may want to think twice! Dont overdue the tape. Theres enough? but not if you attach more than recommended. Cut and dry fit first. Then roll up. attach to tape ENSURING you have placed accurately. Do NOT "pull" when attaching!!! Place/stick...stuff has some stretch. Attach straight and square, otherwise "ripples" will form. Caution. repositioning is hard. Tape is really strong making the material hard to reposition!!! Take your time. It took me 8 hrs to size and attach panels to a 16' 5 panel door. This is NOT a 10 minute job!!!. Does it work. Yes. door gets hot outside warm on inside. Have not measured scientifically. But per instructions. Air gap between outer door panel and material must be maintained. BTW. One person can manage to attach but two cool headed persons would be better!!!! Remember. You MUST start off parallel to the door panel. Repositioning is NOT an option

great product
This insulation was easy to install. It is an excellent product that cuts down the amount of heat entering my garage dramatically. I ran short when I started the job and the owner,Michael, immediately expedited a roll to my home at no charge and no questions asked. Love the product. The company(owner) is easy to work with. I highly recommend this product.

Definitely Worth The Cost and Effort!
Well, I debated on how to insulate my West-facing aluminum garage door that acts like a giant radiant heater for the interior. I settled on this package because it comes with everything you need! The worst part is all the prep for installation. The double sided thin foam tape works great and I have a bunch left over from my 16' wide door 4 panels 21" high.It isn't necessary to remove all of the hinges and wheel mounts like I did and risk dropping an entire 16' panel out of the door... like I did! You will have to remove the hurricane braces (for those in the South) for a good installation.I replaced the seal at the bottom since it was hard, flat, and 15 years old. That was a treat. All in all it took me several days of part time work to git er done. I also sealed the edges with tape for flexible duct work. It is a silver/metalized tape for HVAC. One role goes a LOOOONG way. It is not the metal foil tape. The interior of my garage used to be a sauna in the summer! Now it is MUCH cooler than outside and closer to the low 70's the house is set at. This is worth the cost and effort - without a doubt!
