It looks and acts like the original; if there's a problem, I'll revise my review
My original just rusted and didn't go up and down reliably. I finally decided to replace it when a tire shop just left my spare dangling because they couldn't get the hoist to pull the spare up. The replacement feels solid and seems well-painted and, since this is a very road-exposed part, that's important.

Fit my 2003 f150 Lariat.
Suggest you run the 13mm bolts thru before installing. I used some WD-40 on the threads.

installs right side up
I failed trying to jerry rig this thing. I thought I could install it like my old one (oem, ford expedition, 1998) but with different holes and just do some drilling. There's no aftemarket part that I've been able to find in this price range. The pictures do not show that this item actually installs right side up as opposed to upside down that the oem part did. There should also be more pictures that show the item installed on a vehicle so you can see how it functions.

Does not fit 1999 F-250
Bolt pattern is incorrect, so I drilled new holes in subframe only to then discover the hub center is also not located where the OEM was, so the tool used to rotate the hub is not accessible. The hoist itself is better than OEM as the hub center is metal whereas OEM is plastic, but still, product description is incorrect for at least the 1999 F250..

Works great, but bolt holes were not tapped so you cane use the original hardware. Caused me to cuss a bit but a bolt with lock nut did the job.
