These are industrial-strength book trucks. They are delivered to your door by UPS, fully assembled, just have to insert the wheels. The wider ones hold more books, but what I needed were two of these narrower ones (18 inches) for a project I'm working on, so I can move the books around easily right in front of me while I write. I've bought a lot of book shelves in my lifetime, and some of the wooden ones fall apart, especially the ones made of particle board. They get wobbly and sag, or even cave in. These Sandusky Lee single-sided 18-inch wide shelves, 3 shelves, are exactly what I needed. I have one on each side of me as I work, and I don't have to get up each time I need to grab a book.Measurements:16 inches wide across the *inside* of each shelf12 1/4 inches tall clearance, lower shelf12 3/4 inches tall clearance, middle shelf9 1/2 inches deep, all three shelvesThe shelves are sloped back just slightly; each shelf has a 6-inch back.Lower shelf keeps the books a little over 7 inches off the floor (with the wheels on).Total height of unit, from the floor to the top rails (with the wheels on) = 46 inches.Stability: Very good (without the wheel locks being on); excellent (with the wheel locks on)Mobility: Excellent (wheels turn in all directions)Wheels: These are very substantial, very large (5 inches across and about 1 1/4 inches thick) rubber wheels that will not scratch the floorSteel Frame: Very sturdy thick steel; you'd have to throw these down a flight of stairs to do any real damagePaint: I got the Forest Green ones; the paint is well-applied, has a slight gloss so the books slide out easilyThere is plenty of room for regular 3-ring binders.The overall design is functional and sturdy.These are going to last a very long time.I ordered them on Sunday and received them Tuesday around Noon, via Amazon Prime.They were shipped to me from Pennsylvania.They came well-packed with thick cardboard buffers all around.Some people who have commented on these seem to have noticed a little blemish here or there, but keep in mind these are not your Waterford crystal, they're industrial-strength book trucks made of steel. Mine do have a few slight blemishes (very shallow, small dents) but they aren't noticeable, and I don't mind. The best features are the mobility and strength. They weigh 53 pounds with the wheels on.There is virtually no assembly. The wheels are in a separate box. All you have to do is take them out of the box, insert the wheel's post into the proper hole in the bottom of the unit, and use a rubber mallet or a heavy shoe to tap them into place. It took 8-12 taps with a rubber mallet to move the wheels into their sockets.I got two of them. This is one of the best purchases I've made in awhile.

This is a perfect book cart in on has limited space and want to move the cart around the house. I already bought three of them and will need to purchase another one. The price is a little high, but the quality is good and it will last. The shipping was fast and packaging was perfect! I am very happy with the purchases!

Fantastic little book cart- just like schools and libraries. It is small, but tall and holds all my sewing, crafting reference books so I have more room for my fabric and supplies. Definitely, definitely but this product. It is super sturdy

We bought these in 5 different colors for use in our school. They hold relevant to the lesson books from the library and can be rolled directly to class. Pricey but well made.
