KorkmazDutch Oven with Lid (16qt)

It's ok. The lid is a little thinner than I would like. The real problem is that it is listed as 10 QT, it is not. It is 8 liter or 8.45 QT. I would not have bought it if I knew.Update: After using this a few times both stovetop and in the oven, I have upgraded to 4 stars. Even heating and the handles stayed cool enough to handle and strain.

Nous sommes une famille de 7, 8 bientôt. Ce chaudron est immense, mais je ne manque pas de place si je dois faire double ou triple d'une grosse recette. Je pensais que ce serait trop gros, mais en réalité ça fonctionne parfaitement sur mon poêle le plus gros. La chaleur est très bien répartie, les manches ne deviennent pas trop chaude, sauf si on fait mijoter un bon bout de temps. Le chaudron est léger et se range bien. Seule chose, comme un autre acheteur a suggéré de passer un papier sablé dessous le chaudron, car il se peut que ça égratigne votre verre de dessus du poêle.Je l'aime beaucoup et je l'utilise plus souvent que j'avais anticipé...surtout pour faire des fayos (fèves aux lards et à la mélasse acadien!)

Update: realized my review posted to several sizes. Still love this pot- was looking at another size when I saw my own review. The dimensions are for the 6.5/7qt pot I purchased. Was listed as 7qts when I purchased it. Changed to 6.5 now. 7 qts would take it to the very brim. Only regret is not spending a bit more and getting a set. Amazon has them for $115.Excellent pot. Curved bottom makes it easy to clean. Perfect size. Big enough for 6 chicken breasts but still fits in sink.The "heavy bottomed" part that sits on burner is 8"- then it gently curves outward for an overall exterior width of 12". Inside dimension is 11.5"I accidentally left it empty on high for an hour. No damage at all.Picture shows the 6.5 qt in back left. The rest are the set I purchased for $115.

For the price this is a tremendous piece of equipment.The bottom is aluminum and slightly domed so not perfect for a totally flat stove, HOWEVER it works just fine on my coil ring stove.The lid fits quite well. The steel seems very resilient.Surprisingly very stick resistant.I LEFT THIS ON A HOT BURNER OVERNIGHT WITH WATER THAT EVAPORATED AND IT DID NOT WARP AT ALL ON A COIL STOVE.I love this for doing masala goat stew because you can do all the frying in one pan.Even Calphalon doesn't do that...
