MHC has done it again! Another addicting read!
An elegant mansion with a dark and disgraceful history. What harm could there be with holding a charity event there? The owner of the mansion, Peter Carrington, deemed a “person of interest” in the disappearance of one woman and the death of another, thought this would be a good way to show he had nothing to hide.Meanwhile, a terminally ill woman—the mother of the missing woman—refuses to die until she finds out what happened to her daughter that night at the mansion. Things get more interesting when Kay, the library fundraiser organizer, ends up marrying Peter Carrington, a possible murderer. Kay, deemed “the librarian who married the billionaire after a whirlwind romance,” had an unwavering faith in her new husband; but when he starts sleepwalking and they find the dead body of the missing woman buried in the estate grounds, Kay doesn’t know what to think. Everyone wants to see Peter Carrington fry.Should Kay be worried about her new husband’s suspicion of drowning his first wife? Could it possibly have to do with a song Kay heard before? Kay was determined to prove her husband’s innocence of the murders of his late wife, the rich neighbor, and her father.A fascinating and perplexing mystery full of layers! It just keeps you wondering what the real story is in all this. What was the real truth?MHC has done it again! Another addicting read!

It's Mary Higgins Clark!!
This novel is no less intriguing than all the others, and no less exciting. A little pat in places it's still a thoroughly entertaining read.

good read!
I enjoyed the character development and storytelling in this book. I didn’t figure out too quickly who had done the crime like I do with a lot of other books. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Excellent!
It does jump around a bit in the beginning. However, it smooths itself out and really pulls you in. I will truly miss Ms. Clark and her fabulous stories.

Comes with a quality guarantee!
Librarian Kay Lansing marries Peter Carrington, head of the wealthy Carrington family.Peter Carrington has been under suspicion for murdering his childhood sweetheart, and as after 22 years her body is discovered on the Carrington estate in Englewod, New Jersey, Peter is charged with her murder. The fact that Peter Carrington is a sleepwalker, adds an interesting twist to the story, and I got urged to read more about sleepwalking by reading this book.I'll not reveal more details about the murder investigation - in fact, the investigation of several connected murders - but leave it to the readers."The queen of suspense" has a unique talent for intricate plots as well as phsycological insight into the human mind.As all her books, "I Heard That Song Before" is a real page-turner. I brought it with me on holiday. Thought it would last me a few days but finished it overnight!Mary Higgins Clark's books come with a quality guarantee. Her fans can always trust her to deliver the best. Enjoy!

Easy Read
If you are recovering from an illness like me, then this is an ideal book to read as it isn't too taxing on the brain. Here we see Kay Lansing married to Peter Carrington who has a bit of a chequered past with the law, but is he guilty or a scapegoat hiding somebody else's guilt. Kay is very worried because Peter is a sleepwalker and has no memory doing it. Two bodies are found near the Carrington property and once again Peter is plunged into the nightmare of proving his innocence. Also years ago, Peter's first wife died drowned in the pool. Guilty or innocent? While Peter is in custody, his wife Kay is left holding the fort. Can she prove Peter's innocence before he is tried, found guilty and imprisoned? Good read. Would recommend.

anti-climax
Got this for my mum in lockdown. she didn't enjoy it as much as the author's other books. says there were too many red herrings and the ending was an anti-climax.

Another good read from MHC.
I love her books, they are well written with a good mixture of romance and mystery. This is a method that works well for her, holding the reader enthralled to the last page and wanting more at the end of the book.
