Ugoos UT2 TV BOX RK31898 Quad Core Coretex A9 2/32G Android TV Box
Ugoos UT2 Quad Core Android TV BoxUgoos UT2 Quad Core Android TV Box with Dual Wireless Band 2.4 & 5 Ghz Bands, Bluetooth capability, XBMC pre-loaded, the Ugoos UT2 is loaded with Android 4.2.2 operating system with the full stock Google Android services including Google's *.apk installation also as well;Wireless Remote Control, HDMI Cable, Power Adapter, Composite A/V cable, USB to micro USB cable; the footprint size of the Ugoos UT2 is a compact footprint sized at 6.3x 4.6x 1.0inches so it can fit basically anywhere quite easily;the Ugoos UT2 does come with a RK3188 Rockchip SoC quad-core ARM Cortex A9 with a decent performing integrated Android System CPU chip; along with a also pretty decent internal video card in the form of the Mali-400MP4 video chipset GPU core, that also has as well 4 Cores dedicated to video graphics processing with the Mali graphics card capable of running at a speed of some 500MHz per core; along with HDMI v1.4 capability; complete with Multimedia compatibility that includes ability to read MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, AVS type files;the Ugoos UT2 also has 3 USB 2.0 based ports to hang various USB based peripherals off of them; along with an additional optional hardline 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet hardware port that also makes it easily possible to potentially utilize, optimize and maximize ones existing broadband internet bandwidth completely independent of any potential wireless internet connection additionally also as well;the Ugoos UT2 runs cool without the help of any cooling fan, this Android Box is being used as a basic quad core Android XBMC Box connected to a TV that is also connected to a Logitech K400 wireless keyboard with accompanying integrated track pad;For testing purposes I used XBMC 1Channel and Ice Films Video Add Ins to demo movies in XBMC as well as Showbox to watch movies; the movie playback was smooth and was ok; and on par with my existing Amazon FireTV on which I also have XBMC and Showbox also installed;I also purchased a Square Trade two year warranty at the time of purchase for this Ugoos UT2; to further extend the product warranty also as well; since it was a reasonably affordable warranty add-on purchase option;this Ugoos UT2 should hold me over for quite some time till the Ugoos UT3 Android Box product bugs slowly get ironed out over time hopefully; I will keep track of the latest news on the Ugoos UT3 Android Box via freaktab.com user product forums; to see what that Ugoos UT3 Android Box offers in the way of enhanced performance capabilities hopefully;I was able to download, install and run the Antutu Android Benchmarking Program on the Ugoos UT2 and it scored in at about 23,000; not bad considering I scored about 25,000 on my existing Dell Venue Android Tablet;so overall the Antutu Android Benchmarking score on the Ugoos UT2 was ok; if one is looking for a decent affordable basic Android TV Box the Ugoos UT2; is so far looking like a decent choice for a basic workhorse, no frills and no nonsense decent performing stock Android TV Box for the money;while it may not be the fastest, cheapest or best performing stock Android TV Box; it performs reliably as an affordable basic stock Android TV Box that will allow one to reliably potentially stream both movies/shows as well as music through ones regular TV;as a direct result I will also likely buy another secondary Ugoos Android TV Box; to also connect to a second regular TV also as well eventually; to be able to also play both movies/ shows as well; on a secondary regular TV also as well.I also read extensively on freaktab user forums about the Ugoos UT2 Android TV Box and in particular about other user experience; the consensus by the freaktab user forum community is that the Ugoos UT2 Android TV Box is that its a field proven stable, reliable and proven Android TV Box.This Ugoos UT2 Android TV Box not only has superior functionality over even the latest Roku 3 third generation box;but it also gives the user the ability to run both the popular Showbox Android media streaming software application and also the highly popular well known XBMC(code named Kodi) Android media streaming software application;now both of the above Android media streaming software applications do not currently run on any Roku platform box at all;additionally hardware wise the Roku 3 third generation box lacks a quad core CPU processor chip and quad core GPU video processing chip also as well;furthermore the Roku 3 third generation set top box does not allow loading of any Android software applications at all;moreover if a potential user desires to utilize any Android software applications, any Android based media streaming software applications;when factoring in the above additional supplied information; the Ugoos UT2 is alternatively a somewhat more suitable, productive, scalable and more appropriate hardware/ software platform; as compared to the clearly inferior hardware/ software platform being offered via the Roku 3 set top box; product as reviewed met expectations overall.Update: the Ugoos UT2 TV Box freezes and locks up requiring me to to unplug the Ugoos UT2 TV Box Unit in order to reset unfortunately; this happens when I play more than one movie on the Ugoos UT2 TV Box; it feels cool to the touch; so its likely a chipset intermittent problem on the TV Box motherboard printed circuit board.

Good box for the price....seller very informative and expedites in a excellent time frame
Great Android Box. Plays 1080p flawlessly. Upgraded with custom firmware and xbmc works perfectly. One downside this box can not stream 4k video. Planning on purchasing the minix neo x8 soon to be available in either late May or June 2014. The minix neo x8 supports 4k video and is loaded with android kit kat. My ugoose arrived actually ahead of schedule which was a plus and I highly recommend purchasing a fly remote with keyboard. The stock remote that comes shipped is definitely lacking features and not very responsive past 10 feet or more.

Great!
This Android based media player/HTPC is great. I have tried a few of the Android TV sticks and this one is one of the bestI have put this box through the ringer with streaming HD content while having a number of apps running in the background and I have never had an issue. I have had to restart the device a few times when an app gets updated but I think this is more due to the app not properly terminating the service or associated service prior to the update.
