Must Have for First Time Keto Dieters
This is my first time trying keto and using this device lets me know how I’m doing and if I’m successfully getting into ketosis (my first 2 weeks of keto were based on urine strips, which were inconsistent and did not seem accurate). I read reviews of several similar devices before deciding on this one as others frequently had reviews for inconsistent test results and even failure to determine the correct results of the test/control fluid. I like that this device only checks ketones, which makes it a little cheaper than other options, and the test strips come with lancets at minimal extra cost. The device is easy to use and I like that the company stresses hygiene and safety precautions. The testing is virtually painless thanks to the lancing device it comes with (I would not be able to jab myself with a needle so painlessly). And the strip itself requires very little blood. The results seem very consistent and I am learning to gauge how eating specific foods will affect my ketone levels.

Seems to be a great product
I don't have another ketone meter to compare this to, but I like the fact that it's FDA approved, and some other reviewers seem to have verified its accuracy. It's super easy to use, from the meter to the lancing device. I like the carrying case too. The only reason I subtracted a star (would've only subtracted a half star, if it were an option) was because of the price of the refill test strips. While I don't have a problem with the price per strip (around a dollar per strip seems to be the going rate for all meters), I DO have a problem with the size of box I have to buy. The only refill box I see on Amazon (which is the only place they are available, as far as I can tell) is a box of 50. Would be nice if they had smaller boxes of 20 or 30 available, so I don't have to spend $50 every time. UPDATE - 06/25/20: I complained, and KetoSens delivered! They now offer a box of 30, and the price per strip has come down to boot! My meter still works as good as the day I received it (almost a year ago), and it seems to be accurate (I've never compared it to another meter, but any time I'm supposed to be in ketosis, it says I'm in ketosis). Seems to be the best value out there, as far as blood ketone meters go, in terms of cost of meter, strips, and accuracy. Upgrading my review from 4 to 5 stars! You ROCK KetoSens!!!

Life saver
Love it. So much better to have this, then my son peeing on my hand when checking keatones. It quite easy to use, we normal teast when doing a blood glucose test as well. Super light weight, easy to start up, and read and understand. A little pricey but worth every penny.. could come with more test strips.

easy to use
update: i decided i wanted a 2 in one blood glucose and ketone meter so i bought a pricier Foracare 6 kit that is rated high.. well turns out this here ketoSens and its strips are almost just as accurate at reading ketones as a more pricier brand if you get a good working meter and strips too.. this meter read 0.1 less (once 0.2) than the foracare 6 on every comparison test i did..not bad. decent price for a ketone meter i suppose, seems to work as should but, well that is hard to really tell isn’t it when they couldn’t even include a small bottle of solution for you to test if strips/meter are accurate!! really hate that part when it come to these human blood meter types not including any. yet my cat’s diabetic pet meter did come with solution. No reason to not charges a dollar or two more and simply include enough solution to do initial meter/strip test like included manual tells ya to do.. still i’m pretty sure everything is good but, would recommend buying solution, although it will take longer to get: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07RWQ7MD9/?coliid=IMI9AMDSKEWHS&colid=2PLJA5KSOWWJO&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it i used my cat’s extra lancet device in the end because i like it better than one included. less steps to replace lancet. one in kit requires twisting on and off, i guess easy enough but, when you have arthritis, a slip on and off top is better. lancets are the cheesiest i have ever seen! having a diabetic cat for years now i know they could be a lot better made and the ones in this kit were made with cheapness in mind it seems. the pin/needle is so thin, it bends just by taking off plastic piece on it, needless to say after second lancet i switched to using the pet meter lancet with freestyle lite lancets that are triple the quality of these here...less finger pain too since they don’t bend on you!! strips are pricey but, that is pretty much the case with even good blood glucose meters. wish they sold them without it being a packaged deal (50 lancet & 50 strips) though. overall for its $37 price i am happy with meter itself and the test strips, the rest in kit not so much. would i bough this had i done my homework beforehand?? probably not for it seems where you can buy more strips at is very limited, to here on amazon and on E from Australia sellers!!

Highly recommended
This product made me to write a product review first time. I received it yesterday and opened the box and I found there is an excellent instruction sheet in term of color printed which showing picture step by step how to use the device. Then, I followed the instruction sheet to test my blood ketone, and it's really easy to use and got my result in my first test.. The design of the device is good too as I can press it left/right button to setup the right date/time/etc...Not like the other brand, there's only one button; hence, if I setup the year wrongly like 2023, then I need to press until 2050 and restart again to setup the correct year. I bought another expensive blood ketone device which is almost $100, but that one is totally useless as I spent over an hour to try to setup and see how to the device, and I could get my first ketone result after using 3 testing strips. The travel carry case is good. I bought other blood ketone and blood glucose devices and found this carry case is the best design which could store the accessories safety and wouldn't fell out if opening the case.

If you are serious about Keto, get this!
This is the second time I buy this keretone blood monitor (lost the first one somewhere) If you want an honest review, please see my photos and read below: Pros: -It’s a reliable machine. I don’t know why people here a complaining about reading errors, maybe they didn’t read the manual first? I had one error (from one of the monitors) and it was my fault because I didn’t place the test strip correctly (I was in a rush) -I barely feel the lancet, and I actually put it in the strongest setting to ensure I just have to poke once to get blood out. -The keretone levels (measurement) is accurate! Please see my photos with the dates. I test once a day and I vary the hour when I do it. The highest levels are when I’m doing intermittent fasting, and the lowest usually in the afternoon or during the weekend when I focus in just nutritional ketosis, not ultimate ketosis. - It’s very easy to use and affordable. - It requires very little blood. Cons: -The test strips are expensive, but not more than the Keto mojo and other meters. Hopefully this helps some people thinking about it. My recommendation, read the manual first. It’s very short and the instructions are easy.

Solid Ketone Meter
I've been low carb for 18 years after a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. I've been in remission since the diet switch. I have let my diet and exercise slide a bit in the last six months and decided to get in better shape with more exercise and lose some weight. I test often with my Next glucose meter but have never tested for ketones. I got this meter on a whim and have been very happy with its performance. The readings are very stable and consistent with what and when I've eaten. I typically run between 1.5 to 3.0 on this ketone meter. If you're used to a glucose meter this ketone meter will be a snap. The strips don't need much blood and you get a reading in about 8 seconds. I haven't had any strip meter errors so far. Things that are mildly annoying is the meter is on the larger side, the strips are expensive at about a $1 each, and each strip is individually wrapped and requires scissor to remove easily. None of these items are a deal breaker for me and I would definitely buy this meter again.
