These do work!! One of my cats was a “ scaredy.cat”. He gets along with the other cats great. But was afraid of any loud noise, even the icemaker, and wouldn’t come out if someone he didn’t know came by. I’ve had these in several places in my house for almost 8 months, it took about a month when I started noticing him becoming less timid. Now he welcomes people, and no longer disappears when there’s a loud noise. He will look around, maybe go down the hall, but when he realizes it’s not a danger, he goes on his way. Can’t call him a scaredy-cat anymore!

Update: about 3 months into this experiment, I have to say that I see an appreciable decrease in the effectiveness of this product, hence the drop to a 4-star rating. Growling and hissing at each other has returned, as has the pee-fest. I'll keep going for now but I think there's a fair chance we will abandon this idea if the efficacy continues to drop.We have three cats, one of which is male. All are indoor/outdoor. One of the females has never liked him and there are regular growling and hissing events. There's been a surge in feral cat and fox populations due to do-gooder neighbors who leave out food. This has resulted in cat pissing and fix poop wars around my house. The anxiety from outside appears to have ramped up the internal strife and the male started peeing everywhere. This is the second time we've had this type of pee-fest. On both occasions, we've deployed these diffusers with almost immediate success. I go overboard and we have six diffusers deployed, three on each floor. They work great and I'm happy to pay the cost as an alternative to locking the male cat outside, which causes him even more anxiety as he's slept in the house his whole life. Thanks to this product, I think we've overcome the problems for now.

These are essential in my home for my cats. I can tell when one of them has run out because my cats start getting all ‘catty’.

Works to calm pet. Seems pet gets used to it though.

We use these whenever my daughter comes to visit with her pup. It really does help my kittens and keeps them calm.

Works for what it is suppose to do but the wall unit will smell like burning plastic after a couple months, I can’t even use them anymore because of the smell

This works great to foster peace among our three cats, one of whom is a bold alpha cat. When he starts swatting the other cats, I know that it's time to check to see if the dispensers have run dry. NOTE: Do not place these under any art work. Over time, a light coating of oil forms on the wall above them. Unfortunately we had a large work of art (framed, matted and under glass) on the wall 3' above a dispenser and the oil collected on the lowest portion of the glass and seeped into the paper and mat. Fortunately we discovered it before any damage was done to the art work. It was a mystery as to where the oil came from until I noticed an oily glistening on the wall above another dispenser. Mystery solved. The oil is transparent, and invisible until you catch it in a certain light.
