Helps Disguise Camera for Frightened Child
My 14-month old grandchild was frightened by my DLSR and would scream every time he saw it come out. I bought the owl to help hide the camera's appearance and distract him with something colorful to look at. In limited use so far, it seems to help. The owl fits nicely over my lens with a 72mm filter size, with the hood attached, with room to spare. I don't use the pop-up flash on my camera, but this product is designed so that it doesn't interfere with the pop-up flash. It does have a small squeaker inside that can be used to draw the child's attention - I haven't found it necessary to use that, but it might come in handy sometime. Of course, it's completely collapsible so it stuffs into my camera bag easily.

Great product, does what the description says, just a bit over priced.
I'm going to give this 4 stars because I honestly believe this could be sold for $10 or $15 taking into consideration that its such a small amount of material to use and receive.I could buy a teddy bear for $5 and pay a alterer $7 to gut the middle and hem it, but I want to support the company that does it.I've bought the bird, the tiger and one other one, and they all work pretty well. I use them for our RendezVooth photo booth to notify guests to look up at the character, not at the TV monitor.Its great to stand out from our competitors with little things like this, but it is just a little over priced, in my honest opinion.

Attracts attention.
Works well in getting the little eyes to turn my way in infant shoots after 6 weeks old. Before that my black and white pattern works best. I would give 5 stars if the eyes were a bit bigger.

Great way to get a little ones attention.
Works great for getting the attention of a toddler or baby for a short period of time. Fit is a little snug on my Tamron 24-70 but it does fit.

GENIUS idea!!
This kdea is absolutely GENIUS! I LOVE the Camera Critter (owl) I bought! I have an 11 month old grandson and getting him to look at the camera was impossible. It was so frustrating! Now he looks at the camera and smiles at my Camera Critter! Love the fact that it squeaks, also!I HIGHLY recommend!!!

I don't use for anything but a squeeky toy
Quick shipping, nothing wrong with it, but it blocks my flash as shown. It looks fine in the pic, bu it covers the flash on my Nikon, so I cut off the little yellow part on his head. Even then it creates a shadow on pics. It doesn't really get my subjects attention either, unless I let them hold it, which is fine if want them to hold still for close up head shots. Overall I would say skip it.

Great tool for photographing kids!
Super cute. I'm the family photographer and I needed something to capture the attention of little children. This works well. Plus, it's paws squeak and that makes it even better. I purchased two different creatures and they attach perfectly to my Nikon and any lens I am using. I'm pretty sure it would work with a smaller camera as well. Even the adults get a laugh out of it. :-)

Worked well
I am a photographer and since I bought this I have done a little girl's 1st birthday party and this worked very well at getting her and the other kids to look at the camera. Of course they also wanted to take it off and play with it. It has a squeaker which will get there attention. The squeaker makes me think of a dog toy which is weird. Don't squeak it around your dog, he might think its his.
