Will the mirror stand up on the counter without using the suction? Traveling and moving daily.

Yes, I use mine on my bathroom cabinet without suctioning it down. It stands up on its' own. I just hold the base when I'm positioning the mirror.

Can you use this mirror in the shower ?

I don’t use it in the shower, but I suppose you could as long as you suction it to a very dry surface. The section on it is very strong. Also keep in mind that there are batteries in the mirror so you might want to place it away from the stream of the shower so that it doesn’t get wet. I hope this helps.
