2015 Jeep Wrangler Unsuccessful (Possible Lemon)
1/7/15: After receiving the product I researched the instructions between reviews here and youtube instructions. The instructions online were appropriate and between the instructions and youtube I was able to install the unit fairly easily. The unit was supposed to be pre-programmed but mine was not. Luckily I found an instructional youtube video that showed how to program it. I tested the remote start twice and it worked fine. On my third trial it turned over but did not start. I tried a few more times and it worked fine, I chalked the one bad start to a glitch in the system. The remote start was on the truck for two days before the trouble started. Day three my wife returned home from work and had started the truck using the remote start. When she got home she went to turn the vehicle off and it wouldn't stop. I tried everything from using the key fob, to turning the key both ways. I hit the brake tried putting it back in gear. Literally tried everything. After nothing worked I opened up the steering column and unplugged the unit. At last the truck turned off. I unplugged the remainder inputs and tried three times to reprogram the unit. It would not connect. I have since reached out to the seller and they have yet to get back to me. I have currently applied to return the unit. I will keep you all posted.1/11/16 Update: I received an email today with return instructions. Hopefully I can get it exchanged and reinstall the new unit. Ill keep yall posted.1/25/26 Update: Received the new unit today. I will let yall know if it works out!

Unit is not flashed therefore it didn't work.
The listing title says "plug and play." I bought this for my Jeep Wrangler and it didn't work. After researching and contacting tech supports well as the product manufacturer I found out that the remote starter won't work until it is flashed. I was told by the seller that they do not flash these before sending them out. Buying a "plug and play" item to find out it's not true is not only false advertising but frustrating. Not only did I take the steering column apart to install this but I had to take it back apart again due to the item not working. Only complaint about the seller was describing the unit as "plug and play." Tech support was helpful and the seller agreed to refund my money. I purchased another remote starter on Amazon from another seller. That unit was flashed and true plug and play. Simple install and the unit works as described.

What cold? 2015 Jeep JK Wrangler
This thing is awesome!! I have a '15 Jeep Wrangler it works without any concerns! Now completely ready for the winter, this kit was insanely easy to install (remote three screws, press a button and you're done!) and works like a charm. The instructions were not great (luckily I watched the YouTube video first and during just to be sure); again it's super simple.Range, it's limited....obviously. If you're not getting the long range kit, you're limited to the range of your standard key fob. I've had a remote start on a previous vehicle that went up to a 1/4 mile; that unit was over $400. Because I wanted to keep my standard key fob (long range kit has another one), this kit was great. Sure, I'd love to have it connected to my phone with additional sensors, but for $100 and a ridiculously simple install, this is an amazing kit!Pick one up and you'll never be "that guy" scrapping your window or rubbing your hands together in your car to keep warm. Go to your window, press the "lock" button three times (another quick horn beep to confirm its starting), go out and slide the snow/ice off your car that hasn't already melted and enjoy your coffee that's as a warm as you are. (Remember, if you forget to put your heater on full blast the ride before, your engine is still warm and you'll still get heat really quickly, although putting the defrost on full blast will help!)Spoil yourself!

Not as easy as it's made out to be...
I purchased this for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler sport s automatic. This review is coming from someone whose a novice in working with cars and I'm always suspicious when a product claims it's a simple "plug and play". I was super excited when this piece came in and even paid $20 for 2 day delivery. Through some research and even posting a question here, I found out that this remote is not specifically programmed as a stand alone and Fornin flash update would have to be purchased (60$) as well, which is not something you want to hear. Luckily an auto shop in my area had the flash for the EVO-all and was able to program it for 15$. Once I got it properly programmed and connected the two yellow wires (which is a vague step in the instructions for someone with limited knowledge) the engine fires up properly and the product seems to work as it should now. I'm giving this 3 stars because of the extra necessary steps and research required to make it work and enable it to be a "plug and play".

This was pretty simple to install
This was pretty simple to install, I had to watch a few videos to make sure I got the wiring right. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars, I just dont like the hitting the lock button 3 times feature. Just makes a lot of noise. I also think that it should be setup so that the running lights come on when it starts. I purchased a switch and wiring to wire it up but I havent installed it yet because it just seems like more work then its worth. I realize the wiring can be done and the honking feature can be turned off. For 5 stars, I would have to feel like it was more of a factory system. The above noted features make it just seem just a little cheesy. But it works as intended.
