Factory Waterpump at Aftermarket Price!
I am an ASE Certified Master Technician and Toyota Factory Certified Technician. AISIN is a major supplier of OE waterpumps and other parts for Japanese and Domestic vehicles, including Toyota and Jeep. This waterpump was identical to the original waterpump on my wife's Solara, which bore the AISIN name. The original was still in great shape at 175k, but I was servicing the entire cooling system before a long trip as a precaution because of the high miles. I have used many aftermarket pumps in my career, and most fit ok, but never perfect. Sometimes you even have to grind some of the waterpump body to make it fit. Sad, but true in a lot of cases with aftermarket parts. This part, being a factory part, fit perfectly. NOTE: DO NOT USE A GASKET. Sand the block surface with light sand paper until clean. Wipe with brake cleaner. FILL THE "WORMHOLE" ON THE REAR OF THE WATERPUMP WITH PERMATEX ULTRA BLACK, RIGHT STUFF, OR TOYOTA FIPG SEALER! Any other sealers or methods will almost certainly leak.

Best replacement for leaky original OEM water pump
The original Aisin OEM water pump seal was faulty on the 5th generation Camry. Causing eventual coolant weeping and leakage after 100k miles. This will happen to ALL 5th gen Camry. Shame on Toyota for trying to save a few bucks and skimming on quality control. The only fix was a replacement. Getting the pulley off was the biggest challenge but can be done without special tools. I used Permatex 22071 silicone sealant designed for water pump and it's fine. No leaks after months driving. This newer Aisin model has reinforced seal so it should be better than the original version and should last the life of the car. I didn't want to take a chance with the other less expensive aftermarket brands and risk doing a replacement again. Buy this with confidence!

Perfect fit for my '03 Camry 2.4
Don't forget to buy the Aisin gasket in a tube. Super easy installation, perfect OEM fit. Would highly recommend.

Untrustworthy
So unfortunate, the water pump came without a gasket. You should have mentioned that in your advert. Not fair or convenient, that I go out hunting for a gasket no one has. Perhaps you could have charged me more if that little extra amount of money for a gasket made such a big difference to you. I would have gladly paid more had you been transparent and a bit more honest in your product description. State that it doesn't come with the gasket. So sorry I bought from you. I am just a normal person who was hoping for an honest deal, but you fell short of delivering a deal based on your deceptively incomplete product description.

I'm so pumped up!
Comparing to the OEM water pump, this is a perfect match at a fraction of the cost of going original. Installation was relatively painless and had some instructions that came with it, although I recommend a guide to help walk through the installation.I recommend reading them first, prepping all your tools and sealants prior to use and you should have a stress-free installation.Mine did not come with a gasket, but Toyota uses gasket sealants anyway, just remember to place it on the outside of the cavity not "in" it. This outer etched edge is there to catch excess sealant so it doesn't acidify your coolant and cause your aluminum block from corroding. While replacing your pump, take the opportunity to replace your belts, inspect and/or replace radiator hoses and a new thermostat while all the coolant is out.

Happy so far.
Appears to be identical to OEM Toyota. I used the fipg 103 as that is what the service manual calls for but there is a lot of confusion as to what the correct fipg sealant should be. So far so good. I replaced the water pump in our 2007 Camry. Be aware - if you can find the SST to remove the pulley, do that. The hardest part about doing this was getting the pulley off.
