Great system and I was overly pleased
Great system and I was overly pleased. I purchased the LW2732 and I built a system off the grid and being wireless even better. What I did was bought 2-50watt solar panels (each are 12v and you will need to get a variable volt regulator to reduce the volts down to 9volts to the cameras- which I purchased off Amazon. I purchase 2 lead acid batteries that were 12 volts/24amp and got 2 charge controller to make sure the continues power from a solar panel to the battery does not over charge them. I am hooking the LCD monitor through the USB to the laptop and setting up Skype account off the laptop and since the Video goes out to the Skype servers you can log in through a Smart phone using a mobile Skype app for remote access. I am hooking it to my by screen HDTV to see from anywhere in my house. Really it's simple install ...when you get it you plug in the cameras and the monitor and you get all of them displayed to the monitor...

Great system, easy to set up
This system was just what we needed: a way to see when someone drove up to our house and walked up to our front door, and to record that event if we weren't at home. Our driveway is hidden by the garage when we're sitting in the kitchen, and we also wanted our daughter to be able to see when someone came up to the front porch and was at the front door without opening it. This system accomplished all that, AND provides an intercom capability to talk with someone at the front door. It worked great right out of the box -- the cameras were even pre-assembled and worked great. Image quality is fine, although shooting through a screen at night from inside gives mostly a view of the screen! The only challenge in setting this up was getting power to the cameras. Wasn't a problem for the garage, as I could easily run the wire through the fascia and down to an existing power socket in the garage. But for the front porch I set it up on the inside, in the kitchen window for now. I still need to mount it outside and run the power line through an attic vent, in order to keep the power line out of reach and mostly out of sight. I also still have to figure out how to access the system on-line for when we're away.My only complaint (and the reason for 4 starts instead of 5) is that after staring at Lorex's multitudinous web pages on their many confusing models, I tried *numerous* times to call the manufacturer's (Lorex) toll-free line with a question about how the numerous models they offered differed, and how long a 32 GB memory card would record with 2 cameras, and was on hold FOREVER (I mean, over an hour!!). A recorded message recommended that I leave a message to have them call me back, but my schedule made this infeasible, and when I finally did leave a message, no one ever called back. I decided to take the plunge and buy this model anyway, but COME ON, guys!! You're losing potential business by being so stinkin' stingy with your telephone agents! It's BAD BUSINESS to make it so hard for people to contact you, and your web pages do NOT answer all questions! Wake up!

dont buyunless you want customer service headaches and poor product repair and servicing.
was told by lorex/flir that this was compatible with my other system but cameras would not pair to this new monitor system . returned it immediately and lorex found an identical system ( which had been discontinued) to the one I had originally. monitor didn't work on this new one. supposed to send a new one but after nearly two months of phone calls and frustration they sent a new camera instead. customer service and product backup sucks canal water. outsourcing is not a good thing with this company. CS personnel all have different stories and training .as much as I loved my first system ( which lasted four years) I will never buy lorex again.

Expesive but Cheap Quality. Aweful customer support. Hopefull it will be reliable if i can ever find a compatible extension.
Paying this price for a product, one would expect better build quality and at least fully detailed product information. Shipping was faster than expected which was nice, but the display is TINY and has an extremely cheap feel to it - I'll have to handle it like fine china if I want it to last more than a week. There are no specifications listed ANYWHERE saying the exact size of the power adapter, so I'm having to guess, and certainly hope its a 2.1mm x 5.5mm in order to purchase a power cable extender. Most of the manual is extremely vague... It explains pairing the devices easy enough, but I'll have to poke and prod at it all weekend just to figure out if it will connect to my PC over wifi... It really seems they went the extra mile to ensure they don't list any information that may be useful beyond the absolute essentials to ensure you only buy their overpriced accessories (which also don't list specifications and they don't even have a "power-only" extension cable) I tried to call to get these specifications, but gave up after an hour of waiting on hold thanks to their infamously poor customer support.
