ContinentalOE Technology Series 4060967 6-Rib, 96.7" Multi-V Belt

Not sure why now this product shows on Amazon's vehicle check that it does not fit this vehicle even though it did say it fit before I ordered it. Anyway it fit perfectly as it should. To my knowledge Continental Elite is the same as Goodyear Gatorback or the same manufacturer. The one I received was a Goodyear. I have been dealing with belt squeal for a long time.The squealing would be at start up until the vehicle reached running temp. Then it would go away but then return. Replaced the belt tensioner, idler pulley, alternator, a/c compressor and went through at least 4 belts from various local auto part stores. Then I thought it has to be the compounds in those store bought belts so the last one was an OEM from the dealer for a high price and still the embarrassing squeal.The only thing I could think of was it either had to be the water pump or power steering pulley. Took it to a mechanic and even he couldn't locate the source of the squeal even with a mechanics stethoscope. Used all the tricks to quiet the belt but they were all short lived. I finally decided to go with this belt after more research and I am a very happy customer. No squeals at all after it was installed which was 2 days ago and about 50 miles of driving. The belt itself seems very sturdy compared to all the others I've had. I am confident the problem is solved and that this belt will last.

I own a '99 Dodge Caravan that had started having issues with squeaking and the serpentine belt slipping off every time it got wet (TSB regarding this common issue). In an attempt to avoid the pricey Gates replacement kit, I ordered a Dorman shield and this belt. It was exactly the same price to order this belt online as it was to order a "value" belt from AutoZone with no warranty, so I chose to wait the few days to get this one in the mail (after having a new value belt shred on me). It was a breeze to put on using only a 5/8 box wrench. This belt seemed to fit noticeably tighter than even the brand new value belt I'd purchased previously. I've only been using this a few days so far, but so far so good. No squeaking yet and it hasn't come off yet. Hoping this will be an adequate long-term fix. I'd order this belt again if in need and had a few days to spare to wait on shipping.

These belts are of the highest quality.This is the same Belt as the Goodyear Gatorback.1 came in the continental packaging and one in Goodyear packaging.Same belt, these last along time and are way better than the Day something brand.I will always buy this belt if available.

This fits perfectly on my 99 GMC suburban I have always had a problem with squeaking belts you put them on for a while and then they start to squeak again I've tried all kinds of lubrication and such however none of it ever held up so far thisbelt is quiet and doing the job very pleased very well-designed I'm sure it will hold up I did not give it five stars in that regard because I have not had it long enough yet to really tell but it looks like it's going to hold up for a long long time very pleased

I bought this for a Chrysler Town & Country 3.8L engine with A/C and it works great. It is slightly shorter than the specified Dayco and Gates belts and the difference is obvious - no noise and no popping off the pulley on rainy days. The other belts were quiet for a short time and then started squeaking. At first, I thought the tensioner was the source of the noise. With the last tensioner (several replaced under warranty by a shop), the belt started popping off on rainy days. This belt fixed both problems.

Love continental belt quality, these are usually my first choice even for a few dollars more. Spend a few more bucks for these belts they last 50k-80k miles. I installed this on a 5.7 chevy after I upgraded to a 140 amp alternator and it was a tight fit but it did go on.
