Super light and easy to use
I bought this to use on low pile rugs and my hardwood floors. Plus high pile carpeted stairs. Its absolutely perfect. Although we don't have pets we do have kids with long hair and the brush on previous vacuums frequently got stuck. This vacuum has a feature where you press a button with your foot for 30 seconds and it clears that hair. It works pretty good. Not perfect, but much better than getting my scissors out and cutting it.I use the "dustbuster" part to clean the high pile carpeted stairs. It works fine. But it is just a surface clean, so don't expect it to clean deep down if the rugs are super dirty. We don't wear shoes in the house so it's less of an issue for me.What I like about this vacuum is it's super fast to clean up because there are no cords to deal with. I used it for 10 minutes once, which was all it took to clean my house, with no loss of suction. They say it can last twice that time, but I've never tried it cause I'm done too fast!Highly recommend this for people who like to keep their hardwood floors super clean without spending a lot of time. And it's super light too!

OK...but the Battery leaves much to be desired.
This thing works nice, but the battery is absolutely worthless. My wife can't get the thing to run for more than 10 minutes before the battery dies. We use it on a tile and wood laminate floor. NO CARPET. So why this battery is so weak is beyond me. We are trying to contact the seller to address this issue. I will update my review at that time.

Nice Little Cordless
We bought this cordless vacuum the first week in March 2014 to clean our non-carpeted floor surfaces. The total area we vacuum is around 600 square feet. We vacuum the area almost every day because we have three cats. Every time we vacuum we end up with about a tennis ball size clump of cat hair in addition to other debris from a relatively clean looking area. We have two low pile area rugs in that space that we also vacuum. The suction is excellent. The battery life holds up for this area. We have low pile carpet in other areas of our home and are able to vacuum the traffic areas on a regular basis within the battery life. No stopping to unplug and plug in the device. Vacuum charges overnight for the next day's use. We read most of the comments here about this cordless before we made our purchase. Pros for us include good suction, good battery life, light weight and easy to use, moves easily all around the house, front light shines on all the areas, relatively easy to remove and dump the dirt container. Cons for us include the fact that the vacuum does not lock in an upright position when you let go of the handle. But in our mind this does not merit deducting a star. We would recommend this cordless vacuum to others.Update, March 30, 2014 - today after I ran the cleaner, I went to clean the filters out. There is an orange implement with a spring on top of the two filters. I'm not an engineer, but I am guessing it is to assist in separating the outer filter from the inner one. Well, one of the little posts which holds the end in place snapped off. Then the spring fell out of the post holding the two pieces together. We have owned this vacuum less than a month. Instead of trying to put it back together and back in place I left it out. I am able to separate the two filter sections by sticking my finger inside and gently lifting up the inside one while holding the outer one in my other hand. The vacuum still performs nicely. Let me add this little flaw to the con I listed in my initial review. Perhaps Electrolux can address this in the next model. I would still give this cordless vac a 5 star rating for overall performance.

The suction compares to your kitchen broom
I love this stick vaccuum for several reasons. I would not recommend for one BIG reason. First the good: ergonomics. Yes. It swivels and is wonderful to manuever. The dirt cup is easily removed and attached. I like the detachable hand vac. I like the charging stand. I love everything about this vaccuum, and I mean everything, save one important feature: It has about as much suction as my hair dryer. And, since we know that hair dryers blow out and not suck in - I think you get my point.I purchased this vac for dog hair, and to be fair, as long as I specifically and slowly run the vac DIRECTLY over the hair and ONLY on a hard floor surface, it will pic it up.....er....mostly. Forget about it adequately picking up hair from any .25" thick area rug or couch - just not enough suction. Forget about it picking up heavier food crumbs. I'm not talking about chunks of dumplings, I'm talking about cracker crumbs. Are cracker crumbs heavy, but I digress. The suction just isn't there. Did I mention the suction is awful? Again, can I be any more clear in saying the suction is awful? The only reason anything gets picked up at all is because the dirt gets swept into the vac by the rotating brush, which helps to push the cracker crumbs around your floor, too (you have a 50/50 chance of it going into the vac). It really is too darn bad. I really, really want to love and adore this vac. If the suction wasn't an issue, I would suggest it to be second to none.It works (meaning it turns on faithfully) and picks up my German Shepherd's hair, but minimally and disappointly. Dang! The rest of the vac is smartly designed and easy to use. But, for around $150, I could NEVER recommend this vac to anyone I know. At $28 bucks - maybe a recommendation, but only with an explained expectation of performance.Bottom line: The ease of use and ergonomics are a great feature, but the suction rivals an $8 broom. Too bad and I'm out $150 bucks. C'mon Electrolux.....ya had to know....
