The ONLY cabinet locks we went to buy are these magnetic ones from Safety Baby. We’ve had our originals for over two years now, and they still work perfectly. Their customer service continues to be top notch, they responded to my questions within 24 hours. We have also recommended these locks for all our friends and family with kids. These are just awesome. Best idea and product ever.**Original Review**These locks are amazing, and the quality of customer service that we've received has been incredible.Before buying baby locks, we did tons of research on which type and brand to buy. We ended up choosing magnetic locks, and I am so glad we did! They are so easy to use, and they definitely pass the toddler test. Our little man will hold on to the cabinet handles and pull and pull, but they stay shut. All we have to do is bring the magnetic key close to the lock, and you can hear the "click" as it unlocks. So easy, and it works 100% of the time! Also, there is a base for the magnetic key that you can attach with 3M tape, which has been really useful. We attached the base to the top corner of the refrigerator, making it very easy for us to grab the key to open any locks in the kitchen, and it also has the benefit of keeping the key out of reach from our toddler. It is also super convenient to have a base for the key because you put the key back in the same place each time, so it doesn't get lost.There is also a little switch on each of the locks that can turn the magnet off, so then your locks are inactive. I imagine this will be a really useful extra addition when we are past the point of needing child locks. I also love that you can just flip the switch back to make the locks active again, just in case you have another little one running around trying to get into cabinets a few years down the road.Overall, I am so impressed with the quality of product and with the level of customer service. I was shocked to read some negative reviews. The company has been incredibly kind, has reached out to check and make sure we're happy with the product, and asked for any suggestions or improvements. We have never had this kind of customer service offered to us, and it really made an impression. These locks are the absolute best I have tried! They keep both of my kids out of the cabinets (3.5 and 1), and it is a simple large round magnet that unlocks them. We’ve had them since my first child was about 6 months old, and all of my friends are so used to them that they just grab the magnet off the fridge and get things out of the cupboards themselves super easily. I love that my 3.5 year still can’t get things out of the cabinets because I can keep small toys that are choking hazards out of reach (but can still easily access them when she wants to play with them at the table under my supervision). The last thing I love about these is that they don’t show at ALL. I do not like the cabinet locks that sit on the outside of the cupboard and prefer a clean, curated & minimalist look in my house. These fit the bill. Just be careful not to drop them from up really high because the magnet fell out a couple of times when I did this. Easy to put back together, but you wouldn’t want to lose it on the floor if you’ve got little ones! Overall, I’d give this a 5/5. Great for the price, and I even bought a totally new set when we moved last year because I was so pleased with them in my old house. Note: these will work on pretty much any flat cabinets and the magnet is really strong so it can work through some pretty thick wood. I just added some to my new Ikea cabinets in my living room for craft stuff/puzzles, and I love how easy it is to access all of it now!! I have included pictures of the key, the way the lock works, and the inside and outside of the cabinet so you can see how it looks. Also note: you can manually flip down the “catch” on the lock if you are having a long day of cooking (like Thanksgiving for example) and don’t want to have to keep unlocking it every five minutes. I LOVE this feature, too.

I love, love, love these! I was skeptical that the adhesive would not be strong but decided to give them a try after my husband and I became SUPER frustrated with the locks that had to be screwed in. We ended up cracking the cabinet and couldn't get them to work. These locks are great. The adhesive is super strong (be sure to wait the 24 hours before allowing your little one to pull on them!). They are fairly easy to install (I think ease of installation varies depending on the details of your cabinets). I was happy that these also worked on our drawers. The only drawback is the price. With a set of 4 being $40, these are pricey. I have 20 cabinets and drawers between my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Needless to say with the high price I won't be able to purchase locks for all of them :( I wish they were a little cheaper or more came in a pack for the price.UPDATE: I finally installed my second set of locks. One of them doesn't work. It sticks so the latch doesn't catch. I have to manually unstick it and if I happen to forget, the baby is opening the cabinet! I'm disappointed that for this price, one of my locks is basically useless.UPDATE#2: the company has issued me a refund for the defective locks. What great customer service! I received prompt emails addressing the matter. Very happy. I have since ordered more locks. Have not installed them yet. I'm hoping they all work well. Very satisfied customer.
