Great Item
Bought this for my husband who hurt his finger tendon. Was given a finger splint from the hospitail which was awful. Saw this on line, easy to use, looks ok, does help the finger straighten. Good quality, easy to use and adjust, would recommend great item.

Too bad about the lanel
Very comfortable and easy to put on. Has a soft feel and does what it's supposed to do - I've got the beginning of trigger finger om my middle finger. The only downside is the labe, l as I didn't really think that it would be sewn on to the outside as this makes it a bit annoying a set looks strange as well. I have cut it off but can't take it right down as it would damage the actual splint.

Comfortable alternative to NHS splint for mallet finger.
After suffering a mallet finger injury I was fitted with an NHS splint at my local hospital. While I appreciate the excellent treatment I've received. I knew after a week that I couldn't tolerate the nhs splint 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 8 weeks. My finger felt like it was dying off inside the cumbersome plastic nhs splint, my skin under the splint was swollen, breaking out in a rash and so uncomfortable.I purchased this splint to see if it was any better and it's a huge improvement. More comfortable and my finger now looks healthier with skin going back to normal. I'm so pleased I've just ordered another so I can wash and dry this one. This splint is adjustable so you can get it just how you need it and very easy to get on and off for the daily cleaning and drying of the injured finger. While mallet finger isn't a serious injury it's very frustrating having to wear a splint all the time for weeks on end so I'm so glad I have found a splint that at least makes the process a little more comfortable.Edit - Now I'm nearing the end of splinting just thought I would mention for anyone with mallet finger that although my review stands for this splint, because it immobilises the whole finger you do need to be careful of the middle joint. The middle joint of the immobilised finger can start to go very stiff. I got round this by several times a day putting my splinted finger flat on the edge of a table then sliding the finger out to the middle joint so that the injured part stayed flat on the table but i could bend the middle joint down to exercise it. I had a follow up appointment at hospital last week and they said it was perfectly ok to do this as long as the injured end of the finger is kept flat. I still recommend this splint because Im 7 weeks in now and I know I could not have used the plastic splint for that long.

Good but with limitations for mallet finger
Bought for mallet finger this product is robust and seems like it will last well. The metal plate is good at keeping finger straight and if done up tight enough stops any bending. It is a bit fiddly to put on as the velcro catches and if used for long periods of time it gets a bit hot and sweaty. It covers the full length of the finger so does not allow movement of the middle joint but as this is for multiple finger problems not just mallet finger that is to be expected. I found that when I did it up tight enough to stop any movement the edge of the support rubbed a sore area on my finger. It is quite bulky so you can't wear gloves over it and in particular you can't wear surgical or rubber gloves for washing up, cooking etc. Also taking it on and off for hand washing is awkward. My solution for mallet finger was to buy cheap lolly sticks, cut them down and hold in place with micropore tape. This way you can wear surgical gloves over when necessary and wash hands with the dressing in place then cut off and replace once hands are washed. I do this and wear the finger support over the top when I need extra protection. Doing this also means I don't need to fasten it so tight and don't get any rubbing. Overall a reasonable product at the price but with limitations.

Works great.
I am female, with not especially long fingers. I have severe arthritis in the top knuckle of my RH index finger. A couple of tricks to make it more comfortable - bring it round so that the label is exactly the side of your finger. It will look off-centre but this doesn't affect the support it gives. (I cut the label back very carefully, avoiding the seam.) This also helps with the comfort of the inner seam where the velcro will rub if it's too close to the web section of your hand. Again, I trimmed the very edge of the velcro, avoiding the stitching there too. Then I rubbed it down with an emery board, and now there are no rough edges. Also, don't strap the velcro completely symmetrically - it's natural to want to, but it seems to sit more comfortably if you strap it across at an angle. It took some time to get the exact tension right; too tight and it reduces circulation, too loose and it'll fall off. Having played around with it for 48 hours, I've now got it exactly right. It is making a big difference immobilising the joint because you don't realise how much you are bending it until it's strapped up. Good at night because I'm not wakening up in pain. Hope this helps.

Great finger splint
Very comfortable, easy to adjust and remove, especially compared with the entirely plastic version issued to me by the NHS some years ago when I accidentally snapped a ligament.Bought on advice from physio to address newly developed sharp ligament pains in middle finger of left hand- which had years ago developed a swan neck bend on top section of finger (due to catching my finger accidentally in a belt). Those pains were affecting my grip.Initially it worked to straighten top section, but when it was removed, my middle knuckle would not bend without pain. So used for short periods. That has worked as the top section of the finger has been straightened somewhat and I can now also bend the middle joint without pain. The swan neck has not be corrected entirely but not really a problem - I don't want to risk surgery for such a small impediment. But the pain that developed initially has gone away and I now feel more confident about using my left hand for gripping.
