BRILLIANT, STUNNING RESULTS FROM THIS KIT!
I used this product in 2013 and loved the results so much, I bought more kits to keep on hand. Today, I am ordering two more kits so I have lots of the gold finish and can both intensify the colors with extra dye, plus create different shades. I used a small paintbrush from the local hobby/arts/crafts store to add the gold. The eggs were not warm when I did this. It does take a long time for them to dry, and I definitely had to add a second coat or fill in places that didn't quite get covered. With lots of patience, attention to detail and careful handling, the results can be gorgeous. I was more than pleased with the results. Your results will depend on how much time you're willing to spend. This picture is from 2013. I used ONLY what was provided in the kit and placed the painted eggs on tightly crumpled heavy duty aluminum foil to dry. If the tiny marks on the eggs where they rest on the foil bothers you, touch it up!

Prettiest eggs we’ve dyed
Love this! Caution-the eggs do get a bit slippery when you’re trying to add the gold coating. However, this made the prettiest eggs we’ve ever dyed. I’d accidentally bought brown eggs, too, so I was thrilled the dye was intense enough to show!

Do not buy!
I did not get everything claimed by the description. I did not gey enough gold and only 2 sponges. How do you use 2 colors with 2 sponges. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until I started using it and ran out of everything after only getting 6 eggs done halfway. It is impossible to do the entire egg using the 6 egg trays supplied. I am going to try to get a refund but not sure I will since I used it.

Don’t get the dye on your fingers!
So this kit was pretty straightforward, however there are two spongers not three, so when you have three kids, that’s a bad thing. The colors were pretty though brown eggs turned out better. We ended up getting the dye on our hands and could NOT get it off. Eventually we had to scrub with baking soda and dish soap mixed. Even then a bit of dye is still there. It was fun enough, but we would not do this again.

It worked!
After so many bad reviews, I thought I'd share this. We had absolutely no problem putting gold on the eggs. It looks really nice. We had extra gold paint left after coloring 24 eggs. If we put another layer they'd look even better, but 4 year old got a bit tired of it. Just make sure you follow instructions: the eggs need to be warm and dry for this to work well.

Great look, poor yield.
This product suggests that it colors 24 eggs. I was very lucky to color 6 (six) eggs. The dye packets seem to be very stingy. It worked for six eggs, as I said, but you won't get much more than that.

Awkward and messy
A little bit difficult to use. Made a mess and imperfect results. Returned one of two. Disappointing results.

This product is AMAZING and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This product was AMAZING! The materials created the most beautiful eggs I have ever seen and I was so proud of how they turned out. Mine kinda looked like exotic eggs you’d find in a fancy shop for sale. Highly recommend! I wish I could add a photo to show you all.
