Don’t crack a tooth! Rehydrate and enjoy. Great health benefits!
Let me warn you: These beans are hard as rocks! Fortunately, if you rehydrate them, they will soften. To rehydrate, just put a small portion of the dried beans into a little jar (for example, an empty spice jar), add water to cover by an inch or two, refrigerate the jar and by the next day the beans will be soft. Note: When you rehydrate the beans, the water that’s not absorbed will become cloudy. I add that water to soups and smoothies.I like to put rehydrated cheonggukjang, which tastes rather bland, on top of sautéed greens, and serve it with a big smear of yellow mustard, for example, this organic yellow mustard, https://smile.amazon.com/365-Everyday-Value-Organic-Mustard/dp/B074J7QCCN/ref=sr_1_3_0o_wf?dchild=1&keywords=organic+yellow+mustard&qid=1611714240&sr=8-3.Korean cheonggukjang, like Japanese natto, is produced by fermenting soybeans and is prized for its health benefits. While there’s not much in English about the health benefits of cheonggukjang, it can be assumed to be much like those of natto. Natto is known for especially for its bone and cardiovascular health benefits, in part due to the high vitamin K2 content produced by the bacteria that ferment the soybeans.By the way, I never heat cheonggukjang or natto, because the heat would destroy the beneficial bacteria (probiotics) that remain in and on the beans.

I actually love the smell
I read other reviews and the two most common complaints are they’re hard as rocks (and so not suitable as an out of jar snack) and the smell is bad. So my take is that, yes, they’re dried soybeans and somewhat hard, but I don’t think they’re any harder than, say, corn nuts. It takes some getting used to and they seem fine to eat as an out of the jar snack. As for the smell, yes, it has a fermented smell. But that’s the appeal for me. I think it smells like Natto and I love the smell and taste. Between the smell, taste, and the corn nutty texture, I find it addicting to munch out of the jar. I really, really love this product.

Love this!
Best quality. This is more like health supplements. If you are looking for tasty snack, this might not work. This is bland but helps microbiome in gut and provides good clean protein.

Helps my digestion.
I got this for myself because I have been struggling with digestion. My friend recommended to try Natto soybeans and I have been taking some beans every morning for 5days. I found it was definitely helpful to my body and I kind of enjoy taking them now. I think I can also eat it while I am driving or working as it is convenient to carry around. Only thing I was concerned about was the smell but it actually doesn’t smell much. I guess it is because they are dried. I am satisfied with this and going to buy another one for my mother.

Hard like chewing dried beans and flavorless
Upon opening my package, it has nearly no scent. I measured out the 1 tsp serving amount and began chewing 2 of them up at a time. Gave my teeth and jaw a workout. No real flavor of any kind detected. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Healthy snack for the entire family!
Bought this for my dad who loves natto! He likes them alot as it is convenient to carry around and eat it as a snack on the go. He also enjoys it in his smoothies and cereal everyday. It doesn't smell as much either. Healthy choice for the entire family!

Good
I thought it was bigger, a picture that helps the customer to have an idea of the size would be nice. Other than that, the flavor is good enough.
