This steam cap is exactly what I was looking for - I like to deep condition my hair twice a month, but I hate having to sit under the dryer to do it. The steam cap is not as heavy as it looks and it comfortable. Im happy i can finally deep condition while getting other this done. It gets hot enough in my microwave in about 60 seconds and stays warm for 20-30 minutes as long as I am not sitting under an air conditioner or fan. Place a plastic cap on your head first, then put the thermal cap on your head. Overall I like the convenience.

**UPDATED 6/20/19**Customer service is very efficient. I was contacted quickly and offered a larger replacement cap to try. The new cap came today. I am eager to try it out on my next deep conditioning day. I have modified my star rating from 1 to 3 stars based on customer service.5/2019I was excited to try this cap out, but I should’ve listened to the reviewer that said it is too small. Boy, is it too small! I have shoulder length, medium thick hair. I could barely cover my hair with this cap, even with a plastic cap on underneath. Also, the cap only retained heat for maybe 10 minutes, not the 30 minutes advertised, even with warming it for 80 seconds as recommended. I will be returning.

Like others have said. Does NOT stay warm for more than 10 minutes. I microwaved for 85 seconds, where it was SUPER hot but only on the top of my head. Sides don’t stay warm very long at all and seeds fall into spots so other places are completely empty. They need a more “quilted” pattern to keep seeds in place. Also hard to fit this heat cap and a plastic shower cap together. I don’t think I have a large head but this is rather small. If I hadn’t of just cut my very long hair to shoulder length my hair would not have fit in this cap.Sad it’s past the return period because this is my first time using the cap. Ordered it and then moved so it took a while for me to use.

Pretty nice heated cap. I thought this was a super cool idea being cordless in all! I love that I can heat this up in the microwave and use it around the house for my deep conditioning treatments. I will say that the heating times will obviously vary depending on the microwave you use, and it stays warm for around 30 minutes. I’m a hair stylist and loved the freedom this product offered!

I put it in the microwave for 70 second. works well with my special oil intensive hair mask. the temperature is right, not too hot. the warmness lasted for about 30 minutes. Feels good. I a glad I found it on Amazon. like it and recommended to my friends. :0

First thing I noticed when I opened the package was that it seemed like a high quality heat cap. It's heavy and thick and seems very durable. Instructions are easy to follow, and it comes with disposable caps to wear under this heat cap. Unfortunately that is where the pros end and the cons begin.. this cap is SMALL! I have long, thick curly hair and when I tried to put it on, it made the disposable cap slide off towards the middle because the opening wasnt big enough to accommodate my hair. It didnt reach my scalp, but I wasnt too concerned because that's not where I really needed the heat to focus on. After about 10 minutes I noticed that the heat was already gone, so dont believe that it provides 30 minutes of slow release heat. I had to get a blow dryer and heat it from the outside of the cap for the remaining time.

I use this cap every other week when I deep condition my hair. It is so easy to use and definitely helps to infuse moisture in my hair. I usually have to warm it up for about 30-45 seconds after which it stays pretty warm. This is affordable and very useful for my hair routine. And it is much more comfortable than a blow drying cap.

I brought this for my daughter as a BD gift. She has natural hair (4c) and she isn’t patient enough to just allow conditioner to sit in her hair. Well this allows her to get a deep condition and it stays warm for 30 mts. My sister even caught an ear infection and used it to apply heat to her ear (lol). Guess this cap can be used for more than what it advertises.
