Wonderful chocolate with a decadent, silky mouth-feel
I don’t know what’s with my local stores, but every time I find a chocolate that’s pure and delicious, they quit carrying it. I’m sorry, but I’m a wimp and I love nothing better than rich, creamy, flavor-laden, decadent milk chocolate. I don’t want bitter chocolate; I don’t want low-fat. I want to savor the sweet chocolate flavor as it melts in my mouth. (And if it melts on my hands, that actually proves it’s not a cheap American chocolate trying to fool my mouth into thinking it’s good with chemicals and all that.)Perugina is my favorite milk chocolate in the universe, followed by fond memories of Leonida's (the ones in Belgium), and then by those incredible Easter eggs that Costco carries now and then. Milk chocolate is an art that I don’t think we American quite get yet. (I’m looking at you, Hershey, my fallback of non-choice and saboteur of flavor.)Very pleased to find this chocolate online, to say the least. Now to find where to hide it.Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! Do you need a treat?
Look no further. This is a delicious dark chocolate that is still creamy. Absolutely satisfying and truly a little goes a long way.

Good flavor contrast of dark chocolate and bright citrus. Also good for those with dairy allergies!
I buy this for my husband for special occasions, but I really enjoy it too! I have a dairy casein allergy, so chocolate is something I have to be super careful about. I normally don't go for dark chocolates, but love how flavorful and interesting the balance of lemon is against chocolate base. The chocolate itself is very smooth, and I don't have any reactions when eating it - other than the usual sugar rush from eating too much candy in one sitting. Thank goodness you can break it apart with a very satisfying "snap!" and attempt some semblance of portion control. :PPerugina makes good stuff and, if you like citrus/chocolate combinations, I highly recommend this!

Delicious, quality chocolate
I love, LOVE this chocolate. It's got fantastic flavor, and the coffee bits in it aren't too bitter and melt in your mouth. That's a hard balance to strike! It's also really reasonably priced for higher quality chocolate. Definitely recommend! Occasionally there will be a bar that got a little dried out in transit, but that's to be expected particularly when shipping in hot weather.

this was NOT the Perugina I love[d] - terrible case of chocolate bloom
Arrived yesterday, opened this morning: chocolate is covered in the by far worst case of "chocolate bloom" I have ever seen. VERY distressing. 85% dark chocolate is so completely coated in bloom that it is a slightly paler brown than the cardboard box it was shipped in.The bars' packaging is the newer red style that was not the brown packaging on shelves here last year and has yet to appear in any store around here, so this is new chocolate. But either it was really badly treated or shipped in really improper conditions. Either way, this was preventable and I would expect a company of Perugina's standing to do what they can to avoid it.The vendor name *displays*, anyway, as "Perugina". Really hard to believe: I've been a Perugina fan ever since I discovered Luisa bars decades ago when I had already learned to be picky about my chocolate yet thought those Luisa bars were the best thing I'd ever tasted in my life. I expect far, far better treatment of chocolate from Perugina than what I bought from this web page.Clarifications: package was delivered into the shade on a porch, that hadn't seen sun at all yet that day, in < 60% humidity and generally 72 degrees (I don't think the porch was quite that warm). I fetched the box less than half an hour later. The conditions it was delivered into shouldn't have caused any chocolate bloom at all, but would never have caused one this extreme.

The best dark chocolate, but this order was defective
Perugina Extra Bittersweet 85% is the best dark chocolate we have found. It's normally really wonderful add It would absolutely deserve 5 stars if it were not for a significant recent problem. This order, which included 2 cases of this chocolate, was defective. Many bars were completely covered in a light yellow-brown coating which is disgusting. One of them was largely disintegrated. I read reviews on other vendors of the same product having the same bad experience. Even the bars that look OK taste quite weird, almost if it they were burned and dried out. I can only assume that a large volume, such as a whole container, of this product got way too warm for an extended time and was ruined.I hope this product is still being made well and that sooner or later we will get shipments that have not been damaged. But it is hard to tell based on this experience when it will be safe to order it again.

Best Chocolate ever
I love this chocolate. I could eat it endlessly. It is creamy, but has little crunchy espresso bits. We all fight over it!

Luxurious chocolaty heaven
This is the best milk chocolate hazelnut bar I’ve ever had. I received the box and they were very fresh and delightful. This will be my go to!
