2GB Kit (2x1GB) Memory RAM Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 530s (DDR2-667MHz 240-pin DIMM)

We had a Dell Inspiron that had hard disk failure. We replaced the hard drive and updated the RAM at the same time. This extra RAM really boosted the computer speed. Just to note, because we use a 32-bit operating system, we cannot get the full 4G RAM. It's just the limitation of the system. We get 3G - which is fine because I didn't want to buy a new computer when the old one could be refurbished. YouTube has great videos on how to upgrade your RAM. It was very easy and didn't take too long.

An old machine is running so much better now that I've doubled the RAM, in an age where programmers seem to think everyone has 16 gigs to accommodate their memory-leaking code. Note that the picture shows a single DIMM, but it's a kit of two 1 GB pieces.

The Dell Inspiron530 had extra slots, so when we added the 2 GB kit, we wound up with a total of 3Gigs memory. Made a BIG difference. Very easy to upgrade.

Delivery and condition of product was great. Installation of RAM on my machine is easy. Windows Vista showed the increased amount of RAM and including the reboot I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. Very pleased.

I bought this RAM upgrade for the Inspiron 530s. It was a RAM upgrade that went from 2GB to 3.64. I was expecting 4GB of course, but that's what I got. urgh... it wasn't too expensive so I can't really complain.

I only had one issue and it was my fault. I was expect two 2GB Memory sticks, but there was two X two so now I have four and I really only need three. I don't expect I could send 1 one GB back.

I feel like I was lucky to find the memory that I wanted at such a good price.
