2GB kit [2x1GB] RAM Memory Upgrade for a Dell Dimension 4700 Series System (DDR2-533, PC2-4200)

Ok I have read the reviews on this product and I will state right here, the product is described as a replacement part for a Dell, but I the RAM into a Compaq Presario just fine and it works great. I have an older computer I am upgrading and needed the RAM for. I could not find any RAM that stated specifically for my computer so I went to the manufactures website and found the type I needed and then looked it up. I then found this item and I ordered it and my old computer is coming back to life.This item doubled and maxed out my RAM and it has sped up my system well enough to start playing some games again. Installed flawlessly I just unplugged my computer and removed th old chips and installed the new ones and booted right up no issues.If you are reading this and wondering if it will work for your computer look at your computer manufacturers website and ust mae sure you are using the correct type as in pin count, size, and speed.

Works great

My Dell Deminsion 4700 would not start up, the fan came on and it would just beep, six times. After some searching and doing diagnostics with the little lights on the back it turns out the RAM was bad. It only had 516 in it originally, so I put this 2GB kit in it and cant believe how good it runs. It is every bit as fast as my new Dell. I realize it is an older computer, but for $20 it went from garbage to better than new. Well worth it.

The description read like what the Epstein told us but it wasn't correct so we have no idea of the quality

This RAM worked just fine, I put this in a Dell inspiron tower with no problems, tested ram with Memtest no errors or anything, great product for people looking to upgrade old computer. I used this RAM to put in for a customer of mine that is unable to upgrade their XP system due to limitations with their programs for work.

Great cards i ordered 4 1GB ram to upgrade from 512 MB and cards have pushed my computer to the max of 5.9 Windows experience rating from 2.9 cards came wrapped in 2x2 packs anti-static bags easy to install and the proper parts for the computer system Dell Dimension 4700 with Windows Vista Home Basic WILL ORDER FROM AGAIN and on top of all this Great A+ customer service with fast response to inquiries.

Used this memory to upgrade an older model PC with only 500MB ram installed. PC is running much faster now.

Working well so far. Cheap prices for memory for an old Dell Dimension 4700 computer. Jumped from 0.5 to 4 GB of memory which will hopefully keep my old XP box working for a couple more years.
