Easy, awesome, inexpensive.
Absolutely superb cameras and nvr. plug and play. I've never slept better.Ran my cables, installed my cameras and that was it. I don't use apps, etc. Just have it set up as a closed circuit camera system. Already planning on adding some more cameras.Night vision is amazing and the zoom is crystal clear. Can't belive the quality for the price. Everything is heavy duty. The mounts on the cameras are sturdy and look like they will last.So glad I got this. Already ordered a third camera and will probably add more. Not just for security, but I'm loving spying on my dog and my chickens.

Impressive products and software
REOLINK rocks! I upgraded to reolink 5mp and 8mp IP cameras and 2 NVRs, from an older and un-named "another brand". Reolink's ease of use, functionality, setup is continuously proving itself as a fantastic value for the money. The picture quality is awesome, the motion detection is Ai assisted and fantastic. The connectivity, options and storage capacity are second to none in my opinion. I had a problem with 1 of my 7 cameras, after a bit of on line trouble shooting it was shipped out/replaced very quickly. I am totally impressed and grateful for REOlink, their products and support.

Good cam for the price. Horrible software compatibility
Good things to say about the B800- The cam quality is great and I cannot complain about the low light/night vision.- They actually look pretty great.- The build quality feels EXCELLENT. It's hefty, metal, and seems well sealed at all junction points. No complaints about that at all.- Have not tried remote access nor have I configured FTP/SMTP settings so I'm not sure how well it works.- Motion detection works great- Very fast switching between dark/light nightvision/regularOverall, I'm not sure if there is anything else better in this price range.A few notes to help in your research:- It's chinaware. Something we have to accept dealing with electronics. If you want good software, you'll have to cough up the cash for Ubiquiti or something. The mobile app is decent, the Windows app works ok but the web interface is complete trash. This is unfortunate since it would be great to use a browser anywhere on the network instead of having to install the software (either mobile or windows) or access the NVR locally.- As you already know, you must interact with it using the nvr. There doesn't seem to be any web access on port 80 or 443. I also tried ssh on port 22. It's odd because the camera has a default user/pass sticker on it but I see no way to interact with it directly.- You do not have to connect the cam directly to the built-in switch. You can have the cam connected to any PoE+ switch on your network and have the NVR elsewhere on the same network. The NVR picked up the camera on the network without any issue.- You do not ever have to hook up a mouse/monitor to this. It can be completely controlled and configured remotely as long as you acquire the IP address. Probably a good idea to use static IP's (I personally use static DHCP reservations) for the equipment.- The NVR that you must use with this camera isn't too bad but the software is absolute garbage. They even mis-spelled the word "cancel" on a button, shows you how good their software quality control is.- The cam uses at maximum 8Mbps bandwidth at 4k resolution (per cam). Gigabit ethernet can handle that without issue, don't believe any marketing hype that tells you otherwise.

good resolution and vehicle detection AI
I bought this 8 MP ( 4K) and also 5 MP camera. The resolution on this 4K is of course much clearer than th 5MP model ( which isn't too bad either ) All the other features are the same for both models. The following is the review I wrote for the 5 MP and is the same comments. The AI motion detection for vehicles works really well. I haven't adjusted it for people yet . The time lapse feature did not work with the Android Reolink app. I contacted tech support and they were very responsive. They had me try some older versions of app and send in some crash reports from app so their software engineers could evaluate. Ultimately they admitted there is some bug in the app that they will hopefully solve in next version. They said with Iphone app the time lapse works. I found it refreshing that a company actually responds and follows up on something like this. Otherwise the android and windows apps work fine at live viewing, viewing playback from the SD card, changing settings, and doing firmware updates. If you have the Windows app running you can have it save longer motion clips directly to your computer hard drive, take photo snapshots, and live video .I have two of the Reolink cameras and one of them I installed on a remote solar powered cart that views my garden. It is linked over a bridged router . I was surprised that the video quality and playback worked so well considering I used older routers. This remote system I powered with direct plugged in 12v. The other camera I am using POE on the internet cable. It is nice to have both options.I usually leave the infared LEDs off , but when they are on they light up a large area .Construction on this camera is solid and quality. This new version is super simple to set up the angle with just one tightening ring to tighten . But one of the rings on camera was so tight out of box I had to use a channel lock pliers to loosen it up. The other camera was able to be loosened by hand.So all in all good product and excellent support from company.
