Bring It On: In It to Win It (Full Screen Edition)

Rivals and Become Friends
The competition season was the best part of cheerleadingfor both the child and the parents when my oldest daughter was a young athlete. It was extremely enjoyable. These films remind me of that era; they kind of touch me, and I can relate to them.If you love cheerleading, you'll love this movie. The acting isn't the best, but it's still passable and entertaining. The key distinction between this "Bring In On" film and the others is that instead of fighting against one another, the two opposing teams work together to form a single team to win the competition. This movie is family-friendly and entertaining too.

Typical sports, dance competition movie for young teenagers
My 13 and 10 year old daughters tell me this movie was great. Now that's their opinion. I think they probably could have been watching something a little less stereotypical, but our selection was limited that day. There is some adult content, and some bad language. But since I watched the first couple of movies from the franchise I knew what was coming. These movies are typically all the same. The stereotypical characters: jock, dumb blond, are not who they seem in the end. When watched from start to finish it is entertaining and funny. My 13 year old said she thinks 10 would be the limit, but I have to say it really depends on your child and your maturity level. This movie is very typical "sports, dance competition movie."

A different twist from others in the series.
A sexy and fun installment of the series. The acting is what you expect from a " bring it on " movie the difference from this one and others in the series is that the two rival teams come together to form one unit to win the competition rather then competing against each other.

So I am not a picky person by nature when it comes to movies and television shows. I personally like this movie for the references to both West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet along with the fact that its a cute little movie. I wouldn't say this movie is cinematic genius by any means but its a good simple time waster movie. There are many better movies, even within this series but if you are looking for a cute movie than give it a shot. I will add that this movie can be quite hard to find and I occasionally get the urge to watch it so I'm glad that I have it for that occasion once a year or so that I don't have to go attempt to hunt it down.

Bring It On: In It To Win It Review
Though it is NOT award worthy, I bought it for my daughter's birthday. She loves all the Bring it On's and this is the only one we didn't have. Its a typical cliche filled young teen movie. I love it because its a "Teen movie" but definitely G rated! My daughter just turned 11 so she considers it a "big girl" movie, I know that she can watch it and feel comfortable with it. If your into cheesy, over the top, cliche filled movies, this is the one you want. Truth be told, I love sitting with my girls and watching it and see how happy they are copying the moves or "pretending" to be the sharks and the jets!

We’re not here to have fun, we’re here to win!
Yet again this fourth outing from 2007 was a direst to video release and starts with a thumping soundtrack to a dream sequence introducing the Sharks and the Jets in an opening dance sequence suggestive of West Side Story. Both teams are attending Camp Spirit-Thunder where Carson (Ashley Benson), the captain of the West Coast Sharks meets and hits it off with Penn (Michael Copon), a cheerleader with her arch rivals, the East Coast Jets but echoing the opening of Romeo and Juliet, neither is aware of the others allegiance. However, this soon comes to light at the camps opening induction talk and she gives him up although she really likes him. A few plot twists add to the story but its basically a modern update of West Side Story, including the middle showdown which puts so many cheerleaders off their respective teams, that the remnants have to work together as one. This has all the initial bitchiness of the other three but has more of a storyline being more about co-operation than outright competition. The humour is still there, but its played down whilst most music features in the background rather than as a main boost to the routines. If you want a light hearted film which is a little cheesy in places, with a rather obvious plot [but that’s what you should expect from these films by now] it still entertains despite being somewhat same-ey. I’d still give this ‘feel good’ movie a **** as its still a good 12 rated family movie.

Not quite brought!!
Brint it on was amazing, Bring It On Again not so much. The series was saved with the ace All or Nothing so I expected something just as good for this installment. Sadly it bears more resemblance to Bring It On again. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it because i did but i love any film with dance involved!!If you are a fan of Bring it on then you will like this as i did but it is not even close to being as good as All or Nothing!
