OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Mat - Large

Love this product. I agree the product is pricey however it is superior to any sink mat I have bought prior. The product resists staining and its color holds up after months of use. (yes, I delayed my review to confirm its durability). I never have to scrub down this mat with any abrasives. I clean it with sponge and dish detergent (dawn). The food does not get trapped under the mat as it has a construction design in which it sits slightly higher to allow small crumbs to slide to the strainer. I recommend this product

This review is for the OXO Good Grips All Silicone Sink Mat. We bought this mat a few months ago for our new stainless steel sink. We bought it mostly because we didn’t want our new stainless steel (beautiful) sink to get scratched and such. We saw this had pretty good ratings, and it hasn’t disappointed us at all. This has kept our stainless steel sink beautiful and pristine. Plus, dishes are a little less noisy going into the sink as well, and we don’t have to worry about our dishes getting scuffed at all either. This mat looks and feels like it’s made out of good quality material as soon as I took it out of the package. It feels good and stable in your hands. This mat does not seem to grow any mold at all. We had it for a couple months before we threw it into the dishwasher as well and never did anything to it. It still looked good and clean, but we threw it in anyway just to kill some baddies on it we knew were there from raw meat in the sink. After coming out of the dishwasher, it was still good as new. It did not warp or melt or change its shape in any way. We were able to put it right back into the sink and be good to go for the next long time before it got thrown back in. Pros: Good material, feels sturdy, looks close to the color of our sink, so it doesn’t stand out too much, cleans easily in the dishwasher Cons: None that I have seen to this day after having it several months.

Just perfect. You can rinse underneath easily but be careful to make sure you wash it every day. Because some kind of black mold grew on it and I can't get it off, it won't come off. I've tried bleach and everything it just is stuck on there. You don't see it because it's underneath

Thick silicone, durable, protects my sink surfaces. Easily cut to fit the drain (I chose not to cut the one laying over the garbage disposal to prevent small items from dropping into the disposal). One review I read complained the mat got dirty. Yes, if you routinely put dirty dishes in the sink which has the mat in it, the mat(s) will get dirty, even get small black areas where mold(!) has grown. There are plenty of posts online with various ways to clean the mats. Interestingly, only the mat on the side with the garbage disposal gets this dirty. I guess the one in the sink where I wash my dishes gets cleaned every day by default!

It’s a great product. We’ve had these before and really like them. It protects the sink and pans & dishes are quiet in the sink.

This mat fits perfectly in my sink. I also can roll it so the sink dries over night.

I purchased this to replace the OXO Good Grips Sink Mat, Small because dark mold-like looking stuff was growing in inaccessible crevices between the different materials that composed it. I liked the previous product better b/c it didn't slide around as much and looked more elegant. However, I can't have mold in my sink. This current product is made of one material so I don't expect stuff to grow inside unless I accidentally slice it with a sharp knife and create a crevice. Unfortunately, the cleaning is quite a production b/c there are many edges and changes in contour and every one of them can get dark gunk growing on it. There are about 40 little feet on the underside, many of which need cleaning weekly. The top also has changes in elevation between the main thick "bars" and the little connectors. I've dedicated an old toothbrush and spend 10 min weekly cleaning this thing. If the designers could please eliminate 80% of these little contour changes, the product would be much easier to clean. The multitude of little feet also seem to trap more dirt and decrease water flow, so that my sink is getting dirtier than before. I haven't yet found a better product that won't scratch my porcelain sink and won't grow gunk in inaccessible places, but this is not my ideal by any means.
