Perfect for what I needed! I needed a new catch plate for an existing ball latch from Home Depot. This one works perfectly! I was able the install the strike plate without countersinking it-- just screwed it in with screws and it works great! The color is a perfect brass color that matches my Home Depot / Everbilt plates perfectly, and the catch divet catches the ball latch perfectly. Thank you!

Great quality

These were PERFECT as replacements to the builder-installed closet fasteners. The installation was fast, easy, and the package comes with everything you need. The height of the ball is easily adjustable allowing you to ensure a proper fit. The stainless steel is durable, yet has a very nice polish. The only issue is that the base does not fit flush to the top of the door. So, I had to create an inset to "sit" it into the door to get a smooth look. This was minor given that it was only raises about 2mm.

My husband just installed a pair of these on the doors between our kitchen and dining room - what an improvement! Doors can close with a push from a finger and open easily. They are adjustable and he said install was super simple - he did drill two little holes but easily popped out our broken hardware and put these in its place. The doors pull open and shut so easily and quietly! Back to buy a second pair for the bathroom doors.

Simple to install if you have a drill and a 3/4' wood bit. You may also need to countersink the striker plate if the door-to-frame clearance is tight. Adjustment to spring tension is simple.

Pros:-The nickel finish looks really nice.-The construction of the ball mechanism seems solid.Cons:-I didn’t think about measuring my old catch plate, which is bigger and the holes do no lt align.I’m pretty sure this was made overseas and it happens to be made at a different factory from the builder grade ball catches it was meant to replace. The holes for the ball catch side appear to be spaced 38mm apart (on center) and are about 53mm wide and 33mm deep. Unfortunately, when my builder installed the plates, they notched out that part of the door frame, so in addition to the holes not lining up, they are also smaller in the other dimensions. Also, my builder grade ones appear to have come that way from the door factory based on the permanent metal ring insert. I had to use a chisel to compensate for the recesses in the screw hole areas... not pretty. It’s totally possible that if you have a very (very) similar size now and these swap out as an easy upgrade you will be happy as can be with this purchase. If you are in my situation, and it doesn’t really fit, you may wish you had gone to the Blue or Orange store and spent a little more, but had the ability to take the old one into the store and make sure the holes were a match.
