Looks great and very durable, mine fell off the countertop and didn’t chip or crack. Only small downside is the bag often slips down inside but it’s a small inconvenience to deal with for a cute compost bin

It's bigger than the ones I've bought before, but fits where I want it to be, beside the sink. The top is a little hard to get off, the suction is so strong, but that's a good thing. I'd buy again.

I bought this compost bin to replace one like it that I accidentally broke. I was disappointed that it is smaller than the one I had, but it works just as well. I actually use mine with biodegradable bags for cleaning my cat's litter box. It prevents odors from escaping before I throw out the full bag of use litter. The handle that comes with comes off very easily so I don't use it at all. Overall, I'm happy with it, but if it breaks I will probably go to another product.

It's the smallest one I could find and the prettiest! I ordered the butterflies. I was not thrilled about the handle, so I removed it. The handle could easily slip off if you try to pick it up a certain way. I place a paper towel inside, on the bottom, So things come out easier when I dump it. You do have to be careful, because it is breakable. But I chose beauty and size over all the other boring plastic or metal counter bins. If the lid breaks.....my plan is to use it as a planter and order another one! If the bin breaks, I'll save the lid and order another one!

Norpro Degradable Compost Bags, 50 PiecesWe live in a rural area, where fruit flies, no-see-ums, and gnats can be a big problem. And it gets HOT here in the summer time! Yet we have experienced none of the problems with odor, fruit flies, or gnats that some other reviewers have described. Not once! Nor have we experienced any of the other problems mentioned by other reviewers, such as problems with the handle or chipping, poor fitting lid, etc.We especially like the size of this compost pail. It's just right for holding our compostable kitchen waste until our next trip to the garden. The liner keeps the pail clean. The liners are sized generously enough that there's no "overflow". It's easy to lift out the compost-filled liner, put a twist-tie (included with the liners) around it, and take it to the garden. We've never had a leak or split. No mess at all! And the compost pail stays clean as a whistle!It's been our experience that the filter in the lid does exactly what it's supposed to do -- unless you don't empty your compost pail when you should! (We've made that mistake a couple of times.) If you let the pail get too full and your kitchen waste come in contact with the filter, the filter will start to mold and mildew. And then you have to replace it. (Maybe that's what attracts the fruit flies, etc.?)We couldn't be happier with this product, or with its accessory products by Norpro. It's such a clean and convenient way to keep our compostable kitchen waste until our next trip to the garden! It doesn't take up much space, and it looks nice on our kitchen counter, too!We would definitely purchase this item again!
