This works as good as the one that came with my computer. The old one stoped working and this one is perfect

i have had to replace a surface recently and got a bad replacement (bad hard drive) before i got a good one. thus ive tried to use this charger with 3 surface pro 5s recently. it worked fine on the first one, pretty well on the 2nd one (occasionally the light wouldnt come on and the surface wouldnt detect it) and not at all on my final replacement, when an original equipment microsoft charger would work. Thus i have not been able to rely on this charger.update: recently received a replacement charger from TG-Tech (thank you!). So far this one is working great on my new surface, light comes on when plugged in and attached to surface and it is charging. will update again if necessary but this is great!

Original charger cord started to fray and inconsistent for usage. Ordered charger and arrived as expected and the description was clear to order for my surface.

The power supply was not the best quality, it would only charge in one direction and recently started smoking and melting at the end right where the tip was married to the wire. I would avoid this one until quality has improved. I will try a different brand but honestly they all look like they are manufactured by the same factory just labeled differently.**UPDATE**Company has contacted me and offered a replacement or a refund. I appreciate that I will take them up on the offer for a refund. They have stated in their email that they have addressed the quality of the product. I can not give an honest review of the product since they may have improved the quality since my purchase, but I do appreciate the customer service. For that I'll give them a 4 out of 5 as I do believe they will make this right.

We have been using this, and it is working just fine. No complaints.

I own a Surface Pro 5, and the original charger stopped working. I needed a replacement, but heard some horror stories about using a 3rd party charger.This had plenty of good reviews so I decided why not try it out.I received the package and when I opened it up, I was pleasantly surprised that it looks identical to the original Microsoft one. It even has the USB port on the brick portion that allows you to use it to charge your phone.Also, it came with an adapter to connect the brick portion of the charger and plug the brick straight in to the plug. This is great for me, cause one part I hated about using the original charger, was having to plug in the pig tail each time. You can see what I mean by the second picture. Although, this was not noted in the product description as coming with the charger, I'm glad it did! This is something Microsoft should of done.I'm using it as my daily charger now, and so far I have zero complaints.

Broke after a month - stopped charging. It was a weak charger the whole time

This thing has a high pitch squeal that is so annoying. If it weren’t for that it would get a five star.
