These lights are fine mostly for brightness ease of use and durability but the modes do not hold the setting it is set to. I only need them at steady mode but within hours they always lose the setting and go through all the flashing modes etc. I abhor flashing lights. It disturbs the brain. These are used to provide light on trees in the driveway so it can be seen when housemate leaves for work at 4am when everything here in the country is pitch black. All six sets of these I've had begin flashing and cycling though all modes and several of these are far from the house. I've had people remark to me Christmas has passsed. However I only need them for lighting the long driveway and the flashing is just tacky. I wanted to love them but I cant.

These string lights are absolutely tiny, and when I first looked in the box I wondered if maybe I had made a mistake. They looked like they couldn't possibly put out light to look nice on the fence. I had bought them hang on a 240' fence around our pool area, and they were to replace some larger non-solar string lights that had worn out. I decided to go ahead and take a chance rather than send them back, and I'm very glad I did.They were very easy to hang up. I was afraid of the solar panels getting damaged by our yard people so I hung them at the top of the fence at the beginning of each new strand. They aren't very noticeable and they're up where they'll get more evening sun that way. The strands are barely visible during the day, unlike the previous ones that had a thick black cord and large bulbs (neither negative nor positive - just an observation). The light strands all came on within a few minutes of each other at dusk, and I was amazed at the light output those tiny things had. It was a pretty day so we were spending time out there at the patio until well after dark spending some time with our neighbors who came over. They commented several times how much they liked the lights and were amazed that they were solar and yet looked so bright with such a nice warm light. I don't want to make it seem here that they're bright enough to light an area for activities, but for lighting a fence, tree, accent lighting around a patio, etc., they're perfect and have ample light for such things. I'm very glad I purchased these, and if they last just one year I'll feel like I got a good value.

I've had two sets of these for about two years out in my yard and one of them finally snapped. My roommate wanted to trim the bush it was on and says it snapped when she was removing it. Another one broke but honestly it looks like something small and furry may have chewed through the wire, I see squirrels in that tree all the time.In terms of the product itself I love them. Pretty, bright, and easy to install. The only problem I've had is that sometimes it changes settings when I've not touched it. I like them on the steady light and occasionally I look outside and they're flashing or dancing. All in all a good product and I will be purchasing more to replace the ones that broke.

Love hate affair with these. Ordered one set to wrap on the porch railing. Installed them in the evening as the sun was setting and they turned on that night.Looked great. Ordered another set to do the other side. Second set came and on one the copper wire was broken. Return, refund ordered again.That set worked great for about 3 weeks, then one night decided to switch to flash mode and we couldn't get it to go back to solid. Thankfully Amazon prime window was still open. Returned and ordered a set from a different company. Same exact item arrived and they are installed and so far working fine.The good:They do look great. They're not too bright, which we wanted as we live at a lake and bright lights would attract a lot of bugs. But they definitely output enough light to see where you're walking in otherwise pitch blackness.The ones that are working have been through some heavy rains with zero issues. I have the solar panels attached to the included stakes and used zip ties to attach them to the outside of the railing. This has been working great.The copper wire is stronger than it looks. I love how thin it is, during the day they're hardly noticeable against the wood. Much better than having traditional string lights or rope lights to see all day.They stay on for a good 7 hours.The bad:Since two orders of mine went haywire I have to assume there is an issue with quality control and/or integrity of the parts used.If the wire gets tangled when you're installing you might need therapy after untangling. It seriously gets that ugly. Think tangled Christmas lights on super steroids and meth at the same time. I have sets of these lights that plug in for indoor use and they came rolled on a cardboard tube. MUCH easier to handle.Considering how nice they look and that they stay on as long as they I'm satisfied. It will be interesting to see how long they survive in the elements out there and I will update the review if any more issues arise.If you get them, just check to see they work prior to installing by holding your hand over the panel. And godspeed if they knot on you during installation.

I have a big garden with a pond and an arch on it, so a bought this lights and of course they went around the arch closer to the pond and makes an nice picture, they blink on and of and changes looks... it’s nice, actually I am going to bye more for Christmas.

Save your money and time and keep looking. I installed one of these and it lasted two nights. The second only works when the moon is in the right orbit. I tested all the wires for continuity checked the batteries but nothing repairable. defect must be the circuit panel.

It never worked! Charged enough under sunlight but wouldn’t turn on.
