Amor, Dolor Y Viceversa [DVD]

This film is a crazy thriller. It is very well made and has impeccable acting by the two lead rolls. As for the DVD features: they lack quite a bit. Considering this is the director's first film, lots of extras cannot be expected. The film stands on its own and its worth every penny. Must own for any thriller fan.

Did not like it! She was obviously obsess with this man. And he was already taken. Also, really hates that if he has everything why go and look for a nightstand?

La ví sin esperar mucho de ella pero la película es muy buena, la forma en la que se desarrolla la historia es diferente y lo mantiene a uno siempre a la expectativa.

Have seen this kind plot in other movies. It was kind of slow, predictable. The actors were boring. Actually the movie is boring too.

This isn't a romance, but a thriller. So, it was given an incorrect category. So, I was waiting and waiting for the romance to kick in, but it never appeared. Nonetheless, it kept my interest as a thriller.

My wife and I saw this movie a couple of years ago at the Tribeca Film Festival (NYC). I have just bought the DVD, as soon as I knew that it was available, but have not watched it yet. So, this review is about the movie in general and not about the DVD in particular.We both loved the movie and thought it was very well made. We could hardly believe it when we learned that it was this young director's first (he looked so young that he could pass for a high school kid !) Very clever.It is difficult to write a detailed review, beyond the editorial review by Amazon, without giving the plot away, so I'll just skim the surface. In the beginning one might think that the movie is not well put together, and that too many things seem missing or disconnected. But in the second half, roughly, it all starts meshing together perfectly, as the "mirror image" ( the "Vice Versa") gets clearer. The director gives barely enough at the right time to keep you going. If he gave any less early on it would have been difficult to follow the faint thread, if he gave any more it would have been less interesting. Just a perfect balance. One has to watch intently and not miss anything. (this is not a movie to watch casualy, and go get a snack while it is runing ...etc)If I take into consideration that it is the directors' first then I'd give HIM 5 stars, hands down.It is a shame that good independent movies like this, even with the good fortune of finding a slot in a venue like the Tribeca Festival, don't find a distributor. I don't think it was shown commercially in the US.

No spoiler here, just know that there is a little twist half way from when it switches from Amor (love) to Dolor (Pain). I love it

It is worth buying it and I am not exactly dissapointed, but I feel it did not live up to the hoopla.
