PRO Retayne Color Fixative 8 Ounces | Best Liquid Color Fixative for Dyed Cotton, Linen and Rayon Fabrics

I used this on a heavily dyed fabric. I put a Color Catcher in with it, and very little of the dye bled into it.

Make sure to wash your quilt fabric prior cutting for quilts. This retains the current color without bleeding into the other colors in your quilt. Used for years!

Needed something to permanently set red fabric, as it was needed to make flags which would be subjected to rain. This stuff is AMAZING!

I had only tried a bottle of the old brand. Either this works better or I got better at using it, but either way, it works and works well.

This product is fantastic. I pre-washed some batiks in plain soap and water and lost a lot of color. Washed the same fabric with Retayne and color was stabilized. Colors are wonderful after using this product.

I used the product exactly according to the directions on brand new 100 percent cotton Kuhl shorts and pants and shorts from Fresh Produce, and a top from a boutique store, all 100 percent cotton expensive clothes, not Walmart or Target (maybe would have been better off) and they bled like crazy with rinsing after and then after hand washing them in cool water with detergent for colored items, they continue to bleed after every wash. Don't waste your time and money on these two Retayne dye fixative products. Buy another brand. The company doesn't stand behind their products telling me they never had one complaint in 30 years, ha. And she said the warranty is for 30 days. Ridiculous. It shouldn't matter when or where it was purchased. I bought it and didn't even use it for several months or more. If it doesn't work it, no matter when you bought it or where, and you have had zero complaints, then refund the one customer in thirty years who had complained. The co-owner was very condescending and defensive. Never again.

I have used this product several times for poorly dyed fabric. It works!! Absolutely solved the bleeding problems. This product is superior to any other “color catcher” on the market.
