Condition was perfect. Classic to read. Although hard to get through because of style writing. I had to reread some passages to make sure I understood what was happening.

Needed for school assignment
Helped my son with his comprehensive final essay comparing The Bean Trees to The Iliad and The Book Thief.

Not what I expected.
I'm really disapointed with this version of the Iliad. This version uses the Roman names for all the gods in the book. This makes it so confusing to figure out who is who I just stopped reading the book. I would return it but it would cost just as much to ship it as the book costs, so there's no point in doing that.

I’m sure it is a great book I just don’t know if I ever got it. I have looked everywhere. Amazon is great so I know it must be in my house. I do want to read this book and will buy it again.

The whole Iliad in verse form but devoid of paraphrase
On the plus side this book contains all the cantos in verse form along with the introductory stanzas to each book and also contains annotations but there is no paraphrase or descriptions alongside the chapters.
