Be aware that this does not come with batteries and mine did not even tell me what batteries I needed. After looking at another other reviews on Amazon and after watching some videos I noticed some are sent with an LED light that takes two batteries and those are the common LR44/357/303, but the LED light I received in my kit Takes Three batteries and the LR44/357/303 are to big and don’t fit. So after some trial and error and a few trips to the store I found that mine takes three Size 312 Hearing Aid batteries. So just know that not all kits are the same. If you order a kit, I would wait until you receive it before buying batteries to see what one you receive. It would be nice for basically a $40 puzzle if they could include the batteries needed.

My husband has always loved puzzles so he received two of these for Christmas. The family had barely finished unwrapping our presents when he felt it necessary to start putting together his robot puzzle. He spent the next few hours happily constructing it at the kitchen table while I was trying to cook. A bit annoying for me especially since I could have used his help with dinner, but he had a good time and we were both pleasantly surprised with the finished product: it’s cute, it went together nicely and it actually plays the music it’s supposed to. I’d say it makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys puzzles.

I purchased this puzzle for my son. I wondered if the gift would be too easy for him but he later told me he found assembly more challenging than he first reckoned. His three-year-old daughter was fascinated by the puzzle and assembling it became a family event. When a gift fosters positive family experiences, I believe it deserves five stars.

Compared to other wooden puzzle projects out there, this one is super high quality! Very easy to pop out the pieces compared to other products I've tried in the past. Wood is high quality, and the design is so cute and professional. Loved it. I am actually using mine for a robotics project with arduino, and the robot (with some additional glue) is really holding up well to the motors I put inside of it. Very sturdy for its size.Also, I loved that it included a ruler, directions, glue, screwdriver, and additional parts.

I'm not a puzzle person but I bought this for my husband who is and he had such a great time building it. We bought our own music box to go in it but it doesn't use standard music boxes. Which is fine, the music box that it came with is lovely. It looks fantastic and now it sits proudly on our tv stand and looks as good as the day it was assembled. Amazing gift for a puzzle builder

We got this for a friend's birthday and he loved it. He finished it over the course of the weekend and was more than pleased with the final product. It moved, played music, and had some lights.He said it was a challenge to put together, and some of the pieces didn't fit together as intended, but he said it didn't detract from the enjoyment of completing the robot.

I have built a few of these so far , love them . I build them with my granddaughters (5&8) and we have a great time with them . I control the superglue but they are able to put some of it together and feel like it’s a group effort . The robot is my personal favorite . They are well designed , everything fits really well just have to sand off the break off points .

This was a fun kit to put together. I think I will try some others as well. It works great and I would definitely give as a gift. Any steam punk or model fan would enjoy these.

This is one of the most frustrating puzzles to build. The glue that came with it dried out and couldn't be pushed out of the tube. So I bought my own glue. The product didn't come with batteries, and the batteries it said should be bought are LR44, which I then had to order. The batteries arrived, and they didn't fit ! A one day puzzle to build took forever.

Wife's review: Bought the robot for my husband. It was such a unique gift idea he loved it. Took him the weekend to assemble. All the pieces were there. The music box and the light worked and the arms and legs moved. Great gift idea for guys that like a change from lego.

Assembly instruction are small in some critical areas. Some hints on proper aseembly for rotating parts should be clearer. Good thing that You Tube has many videos. Once assembled, I decided to glue in place some end pieces on the arms and legs, to prevent them falling off when kids manipulate the robot. Button Batteries Not Included. I did not see the model of button battery you will need. Giving this will eliminate guesswork.

Gift for my 13 yr old grandson, thoroughly enjoyed it so much that he unknowingly to his parents was up all night putting it together and he missed his school bus the next morning!! He obviously was intrigued!!
