Wonderful opportunity for mcu developers. You get everything to work from scratch for a price not to talk about. The Arduino is an open system, so you don't need the original, which is mor than twice the price. The quality of this board is good enough imo. Of course I do not need to write about Arduino itself as there is plenty of information there already. Just this: You can use this board and every UNO R3 as ISP programmer. That means you can leave that board as tool, set up a breadboard with an Atmel chip and connect it. I was able in 1 day to do right that and on my breadboard, which is tiny, there is now just the Atmel and an LED flashing SOS. So just 2 parts on the breadboard, the mcu and the LED, powered by 2 nimh cells. Of course that with the flashing SOS was just for a start. I'll build some modules for my HVAC automatic vent application, but it's already a big step towards an independent, wireless 5 zones/rooms HVAC with also 5 independent tstats for a couple of bucks! We'll save thousands of bucks in the future so the price will pay itself off in a blink of an eye! Buy this board, if you know how to do such stuff! Imo there is no better offer right now. Unless you want to wait a little more and buying in China directly.

Haven't had a chance yet to compare it directly with Arduino, but it does work well with the Arduino IDE as far as I can tell.It's a good deal if you want to play with an Arduino IDE compatible controller. They've made it pretty easy for the averageelectronics hobbyist to have something to work with without all the trouble of DIY pcb design. The IDE allows either C orC++ code with it's limited library. But it's probably more than I will ever need. If you're an experienced embedded systemprogrammer/engineer you'll probably want something more advanced. For the hobbyist it hits the spot.The Arduino website provides all the info you'll need to get started.

Haven't even tried the disc yet but am playing with the other stuff.

Power supply module wasn't working.I noticed that there was a solder bridge between one of the + and - pins on the board.Some quick desoldering fixed that problem, but I figure many people buying this kit are doing so to avoid soldering.

I already had a deluxe type Arduino set. I wanted to buy more Arduino boards to teach other students without having to pay for the deluxe kit. I will buy more of these for sure to teach other kids.

Super excited to get this. Sadly, the DC-DC power supply arrived non-functional for one side. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, but that it won't work is pretty bad. I have to leave it in the off position. If I try to use it, it seems to short the other side.

What a wonderful device. Good started pack for the price. Bought five more from Aliexpress.com for a much lower price.

Lots of Random stuff packed tightly in a box. There was damaged parts but everything worked.The CD is a mess. I wouldn't even ship it. Very unprofessional. Better off with a online service. Maybe have a YouTube channel and blog. The CD is not for beginners.

I actually needed several components in a bind and it worked out being cheaper to buy this kit than to try and get the items sent on their own >.<
