The connecting part between the arm and the microphone does not match!

I purposely bought this for my Apogee Mic+ and in hopes to use a second boom as a desktop light stand for my Neewer LED Portable light. I was very particular about my desk set up because I do multiple tasks and needed some sort of boom stand to accommodate a video light I already own.My desk setup is for Music, YouTube, and Crafting. I watched many YouTube “desk setups” to get ideas on what would work best to accommodate my preferred light I use for crafting instead of buying a craft light. Because I work in photography and do music on the side, I wondered about combining the two worlds by using a Mic boom arm as a light stand. And to my surprise, it worked out in my favor! However, I did have to provide a 5/8 screw adapter and a mini ball head for my light.There are older reviews here that state the flimsiness of this arm but I’m hoping it’ll be ok because I intend to recede the boom when not in use.It’s a good price if you need a simple boom arm. Seems sturdy and holds its place pretty still when I need to extend it. the clamp allows the boom to move 360 if need be. Will update if I experience any flaws.

The arms are pretty sturdy overall, but the swivel that holds the microphone is pretty loose, and even after clamping down on it pretty hard on it, some things like my LED light panel just want to cause it to droop. Granted, this is not what the arm was "made for" per se, and I doubt many microphones will cause this issue, but for like-minded people who like having everything mounted on arms, this is a consideration you may want to make. For the price though, it does well! And as for my LED Panel, I just have to make sure it's being held up straight and not at an angle. No biggie. :)

Pretty solid boom arm. Better than it should be for the $9 it cost. Only complaint is that the arm fits loose in the desk mount. I plan to replace it at some point with a nicer boom arm, but I am not in a rush. Using it with an AudioTechnica AT2005usb mic.

The end you screw the things onto is 3/8". Most cams/ring light are 1/4". I didn't see anywhere in the listing that said the thread size but, I had to found out to get an adapter because the adapters cost as much as the return shipping.

I like this product because, my sons and I enjoy music so much. I think music, singing is our passion; our gifts and talents. It is in our bloodline. My son Joshua sings and really adores writing Rap music. Jolyon and I sing and play music, too. Even, my mom and other family members in the Caribbean love music. Although, I have a karaoke singing machine. We still, would enjoy singing songs with the Eivotor Professional Microphone along with the stand . We would enjoy it to the fullest. Thanks!

It's easy to install, the vice grip is padded and it's sturdy and flexible.The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't come with the mounting screw for my Yeti Mic even though it was advertised as compatible. had to make a separate purchase for that.
