Review of Universal Lid for Pots,Pans and Skillets - Tempered Glass with Heat Resistant Silicone Rim Fits 10.5", 11" and 12" Diameter Cookware,Black @ $16.99 at time of purchase.UPDATED 12/12/2023: While I still really like this lid, it steams up very badly during use, making it difficult to see the food you are cooking while cooking it. Sort of defeats the purpose of the glass lid instead of solid lid. I deducted 1 star for that.Since my previous favorite, multi-sized fry pan lid’s handle fell apart in my hand, I found myself in search of a replacement. I normally use only a 10.5” and 12” skillet so this Universal lid fit the bill. One of the requirements I had in mind was being another lid with mostly glass so that I could see what was cooking.This lid met my requirements and also has a built-in vent hole. The silicone edge fits nicely on my pans. The lid is heavy enough to stay put but is not too heavy. The lid does not slide around due to the silicone rim. It also does not get stuck on the skillet like the ones with a lip around the outer edge. It says in the ad that it is dishwasher safe. It is likely that I will just handwash it the majority of the time. The handle feels like it is coated with silicone or all silicone. This silicone edge should help prevent burns from accidentally touching the edges of the lid. The only thing I did not like about this lid is that the handle did not seem to tighten down completely. I will likely use a drop of loc-tite on the screw and remove/replace the screw so that it stays tight.Hopefully this helps someone decide about this product.

The silicone rim is what makes this a great cover
Apparently, not all cookware companies use the same measuring devices (lol). I tried other 8" lids for a Calphalon 8" skillet and none gave me a proper fit -- and then I found this one. It not only works on the Calphalon, but on a couple of other sauce pans in the drawer. Very nice quality & a great price. If you have a hard-to-fit pan/skillet, it would be worthwhile to give this one a try.
