I got this for my Mom and have used it on occasion myself. This thing is great, Put this under your sheet and find your comfortable level. It has saved us through some freezing weather and has kept us nice and comfortable when we were in doubt. I have a few different electric blankets that I use, but this one is my favorite so far.

My husband likes to keep the house icy cold all year round. I was annoyed that I had to freeze even in the summer time and usually we can't sleep in the same room due to me being cold and him being hot. My friend mentioned electric blanket, and I immediately went online and bought this one. I wish I had thought of it long time ago. This blanket is such a dream! Every time I wrap myself in it, I feel like I'm sunbathing on a Hawaiian beach. I use it every day at my computer desk, and its so comfy I usually fall asleep at my desk instead of going to bed at night! The 3hr auto-shut off is a nice feature, but it would be nice to be able to control the timer myself (not complaining, though!)Pros: Baby soft texture, works 100% in keeping me toasty warm, never gets too hot to a point where I feel like I'm burning. For a throw, it has good coverage - I can use it as a full size blanket that covers me from neck to feet (I'm5'4.5"). Can snap off the cord at the edge of blanket if you need to leave the room for a minute but want to remain wrapped.Cons: The cord is a bit awkward logistically, with the control console that dangles at an odd location. Not much of a big deal, but since I have to think of something "con" to write, I will note this curious cord placement issue. Cools off rather rapidly when it turns off or disconnects (within 3 mins). Keep your visit to the kitchen short when going hunting for your midnight snacks; the withdrawal could be cruel - LOL. Not big enough to share, as it wraps one person only comfortably (I wish they had various sizes). I'm curiously annoyed about the difference in the prices depending on the color!? What is up with that??? Supply and demand? Seems a bit silly.All in all, I highly recommend it. For this price, it certainly doesn't disappoint. Enjoy!I'm buying a whole bunch of them as Christmas gifts for everyone this year. I'm glad I got to test it out before I gave this as a gift. It passed my test with flying colors. The only thing I'm concerned about is what I'm reading in here from others; that it may have a short life span (it stops working after few months?). Since I've only had mine for about one month, I'd be very disappointed if it breaks on me soon. I hope it lasts the winter season, at least! I'll let you know.

I like the depth of the burgundy color. Heats well, lots of settings, light up controller. I've used it lightly for 2 months.

There are a lot of terrible reviews for a variety of reasons, but I've been overall satisfied with this blanket. We've been using this in a rather chilly and poorly insulated basement when watching television, listening to music, or reading.Pros: Decent price (I bought twin size for $69), quite soft, versatile temperature control, long cord, and looks decent.Cons: Somewhat uneven heat distribution, not great insulationPro and Con: Thin, explained belowBy far the absolute best "tweak" to increase performance is to throw another layer on top of this. It is a thin and light blanket so the insulation is rather poor and the heat quickly dissipates. Even a very thin layer on top will boost the performance from "maybe okay" to very good. However, I would not do this when sleeping because it could be a safety risk in my opinion.The heat distribution is definitely uneven. It's warmer towards the bottom near the cord "input," but I think that's just unavoidable due to the thin insulation and how heated blankets physically work. The thinness is welcome when I'm moving, folding, and storing it, but it impacts consistency of heat. Again, with an extra layer, it evens out and contains the heat, which lets you reduce the heat level by many levels.The heating wires are easily felt due to how thin it is, but the fabric itself is soft. The generous cord length is nice (over 15 ft overall, about 6 ft from plug to control). The 10 heat settings seem excessively exact. You realistically only need maybe 5 intervals. What the preheat setting does is unclear in the manual, but in my experience it seems to quickly heat up the blanket for 30 minutes before changing to whatever setting you picked.Overall, it's not a terrible price, and I bet you will be satisfied with this if you incorporate another layer on top. If you don't follow that tip, then there's a decent chance you'll be disappointed.

This is a light weight blanket meant to go over your top sheet. Not on the mattress directly.The single control is lit and easy to use - even for a 94 year young mother-in-law. It heats fast. Twelve levels make it easy to pick what is right for you. It even has a self-set timer to shut off automatically. She loves it. Sunbeam is still a reliable product. Thx.

Pensé que calentaría mas, pero a pesar de poner la temperatura mas alta solo deja templado. Para mi esta perfecto asi

Calienta rápidamente y mantiene la temperatura según lo seleccionado.Hasta ahora no he tenido problema al utilizar esta cobija eléctrica.Muy recomendable
