Westcott Barn Doors for Ice Light

These were specifically designed for Ice Lights and are a perfect fit. Nothing else needs to be said. Highly recommend if you have Ice Lights.

I ordered this because I love my Ice Light but sometimes wanted a more dramatic spot of light that wasn't spilling all over onto my background. This does the job! It even comes in a nice little bag with foam in it so when you go to put it away, you don't have to worry about slamming anything into it and bending it up. Don't get me wrong, its not that thick so you probably could damage it by crushing it, but the bag and foam it comes in gives it that bit of extra cushioning. The only thing I don't like about these products are that they seem very overpriced, but it is Westcott and pretty much everything they make seems way more expensive than it should be. Until another company comes out with something as perfectly daylight balanced as the Ice Light, though, these are the products I buy.

Really great compliment to the Westcott Ice Light 2.I do a lot of light painting with that light, and to directionalize the light coming from it is a big help later on in post production. And with video it's a necessity since now you can use the ice light which was simply this broad light going everywhere and again, directionalize it.I think it's a must have if you ask me. But here's where it loses a star. And this is very uncharacteristic of Westcott except when it comes to this Ice Light line of products: $80 and it is very flimsy and bends easily, even when packed away and used moderately. The integrity of the barn doors after only a few weeks of use is compromised greatly, it simply is not built well, the screws you see in the center there are now off kilter and it just doesn't seem like it's going to hold up for much longer.For that reason, I have to say it's another overpriced thing from Westcott with a 10,000% markup and it shows. I love Westcott, but with these Ice Lights, they really missed the mark in the pricing/build quality ratio.

These barndoors do exactly what they are suppose to do. I just hate how they scratch my Ice light! Be careful while putting it on & taking it off.

Very handy addition to the ice light. Great for use in lighting wedding dresses, cakes, and other details when photographing weddings. I'm sure it would be good for many other things also.

Useless. Doesn't seem to direct as much light as I had hoped for.

LO compre para una barra de luz gloxy la cual es un poquito mas grande que el difusor pero encaja perfectamente y cumple la funcion que necesito reducir o dirigir el haz de luz.

Non sono rimasto per niente contento! le alette sono troppo lente quando usa la lampada in posizione orizzontale le alette non mantengono la loro posizione, ho provatto a stringere le piccoli viti che tengono le alette ma senza nessun risultato. Per quanto mi sono costate sono rimasto molto deluso. Spero che il venditore dopo questa recensione mi contatti e mi spedisca un kit di alette FUNZIONANTI. Vi terrò aggiornati tramite altre recensione su amazon o su google.
