I don't know much about electronics, but I have a 25 year old commercial lawn mower that had some wiring burn up due to a failed diode. No dealer support in my area, and getting a replacement board would probably cost and arm and a leg and take weeks to come in for something this old. I couldn't afford the downtime anyways. I managed to read the numbers off the burned up diode and replaced it with one of these. This fixed my machine for a just a few dollars, so I'm tickled pink.

Used to fix a JBL subwoofer amp

I used this diode to repair the overhead (dome) light in my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe. Saved me trips to the dealership, and having to pay someone else to swap out parts. The diode is also substantially beefier than the one it replaced, so I don't have to worry about it blowing out again (and if it does, I have 9 more left!)
