Padding is good. I have not used at rides much over an hour, so I can't say I've REALLY given the padding a thorough test yet. It's a little bulky, but that may be the tradeoff in budget shorts. I really wish it had a pocket. A couple of my light jerseys don't have pockets (makes them cooler, I think) and I like having a pocket for keys vs. putting in a bike bag. I have another budget brand that is slightly less padded but has a pocket ... if I need another pair of budget shorts, I will probably go w that other brand as a result. This padding seems like it MIGHT be better ... maybe ... so I will try these out on longer rides and maybe this pair will be for those long rides. And I think the construction of the shorts is slightly better in this item. But I really just like a pocket, even a small one.But overall, very comfortable shorts with good padding. If you don't care about a pocket, I'd say these hold their own with even more expensive shorts and give it two thumbs-up

These shorts are comfortable to me. They wear better than I expected. The only thing I have against them is that the waist band rides high on me and once I get on my bike it rolls down. It doesn't interfere with riding and by the time I'm about 15 minutes into my ride I don't notice it. I've used them 3 times now and only once did they cause chafing, which was my fault by keeping them on too long after my ride. I would buy them again.

I know these don't have the cachet of showing up in Assos, Castelli or Pearl izumi, but they fit surprisingly well and are very reasonably priced. When you consider how much wear and tear shorts go through in a year these seem like a very prudent choice unless you have money to burn. I have Castelli shorts and jerseys and they are well made, but I can't see enough of a difference to merit the big price bump.I would buy another pair in a heartbeat. I also have a jersey that has survived a couple of years without issue as well although I do worry about the zipper on it.

These fit really well. I would have appreciated a pocket for a credit card / ID + key for the bike lock. But the comfort level is good, and they don't ride up or squish my quads too much. Considering buying a few more, once I do a bit more riding. Good amount of padding without being over the top. Good breathability and wicking. Overall much more comfortable than my previous biking shorts.

I'm a "MAMIL", a "Middle Aged Man in Lycra"! And, I'm a big guy. Most companies make shorts for guys with 32 inch waists and don't go beyond size XL. Sponeed, in contrast, does make shorts for large MAMILs, thank God!This is my second pair of Sponeed shorts; I still have the first pair, but I wanted a back up for when I launder the first pair. The second pair is even more comfortable than the first pair!If you're a large MAMIL, then look no further: These are likely the shorts for you! Enjoy!

I'm 185lb, 5' 11" and 32/3"3 waist. The LARGE fit me correctly on the waist and put the comfort gel in the right place on my saddle. The thigh openings are just right for my larger thighs. Potentially slightly too tight - but I suspect they will loosen slightly after a few rides. There was no pinching or discomfort on first rides when new. Lots of appropriate gel in the correct placesSeem well maid for the money.

I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago. 200+ riding miles later I just ordered a second pair because I love these so much. Comfortable, great padding, and they don't ride up on me.Don't forget to wear these commando style!

Very comfortable. Padding is great. I was little sceptical because don't know the company, byt it surprised me greatly. Price is adorable. We did 100 miles ride and they wear performing just right. I see lots of people in NY wearing those shorts now.
