Mario Party DS [video game]

I am a 13 year old video-gamer, and have been playing this game since I was 9. IT IS REALLY FUN!! Especially if you have friends or family with a ds. With the multiplayer feature you can play with or against them ( you can only imagine the battling family feud memories I have with this game)!! This game is not quick to finish, very long, but it never gets boring! Extremely fun mini games!The game is about playing a board game against 3 to 1 opponents. Who ever gets the most stars ( bought or earned ) wins. There are many different games, puzzles, and obstacles. It is also helpful that if your playing against a computer, you can control them to Easy, Normal, Hard, or Expert. Your choice depends on how good you are. It's very helpful because if you work up to being an Expert in the game, you won't be forced to do the same easy stuff over and over. I totally recommend trying against harder opponents. This game is all about challenge. It takes awhile to unlock Expert. All in all, this is extremely fun for months and years of gameplay. I really do recommend it.Pros:- never bores- lasts for years- multiplayer feature allows you to go against you friends and family's ds- you can become any character(I have no idea why it's called MARIO party ds. It should be called EVERYONE party ds, but that's not quite as catchy is it?)Cons:NONE! :)BONUS PRO........ Peach isn't the damsel in distress because you can be any character, you can even use her to defeat Bowser at the end! :)

I've played lots of the "main" Mario games, but this is my first time playing a Mario Party. It's great fun! And while most of the other Mario games get kind of lame when you go multiplayer, this one is even MORE fun to play with others, which you can do with just one game card.Pros: Most of the features are available for DS download play with just one game card. This game is simple enough for kids to grasp, but fun enough for adults to want to finish. The game isn't difficult by any means, so if you want the arcade challenge you get from other Mario games, this probably isn't for you. Still, this gives you a sense of competitiveness absent from other Mario games, even when you're just playing against the computer. It also has great replay value, since it's never quite the same game twice. Several different modes of game play are available so that any player is sure to find one they like.Cons: It would be nice if there were more boards available, since you get through the five included pretty quickly. That said, you still have to play each one several times before you get tired of it. The puzzles included in "puzzle mode" are also painfully dull and simple, so that mode has little value. Also, if you don't have someone else who has a DS that you can play this with, you'll probably get tired of it more quickly.Bottom line: Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone of any age, particularly if you have someone you can play it with! My only genuine complaint about the game is that there's not enough of it!

As a DIE-HARD fan of the "Super Mario Bros" franchise, I've played pretty much every single Mario Bros. game imaginable !The "Mario Party" games dating back to the very first edition in 1998 to the N64 are among my favorites and the storylines can be quite entertaining ! Mario Party DS is a fun, entertaining game U can play anytime, anywhere.The Story Modes are simple (play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, or Wailuigi) but very challenging when it comes to battling the bosses on each board. The Party Mode, U pick whatever board U want to play and set the number of turns U want ("Bowser's Pinball Machine" can't be played in the Party Mode until after you've defeated Bowser in the Story Mode) and each board features an item shop where U can purchase items to help U along the way.The mini-games are fun and sometimes challenging and U can actually practice a mini-game so U can get the hang of it."Mario Party DS" is a PARTY load of fun right there in the palm of your hand !

works great and i'm so happy i lost the copy i originally had so i bought this as a replacement and it's perfect my only complaint is that it was supposed to be "new" when i bought it but it was used and had save files on it, i just erased those and started playing my own and it's great!

The one I got did not read, My DS said the cartridge was empty.

I bought this game for my sister’s birthday since we used to play it all the time. But she lost it. So I bought her a new one and the game works great. Theres no lag and you can play it with no problem. Its also a really fun game to play with friends and family members.😃

Got the game, but it just doesn’t work, struggles to even show that the game is even in the game slot. And even if it does register that fact, when trying to start up the game it says an error has occurred. Not worth the hassle to return honestly.Update: Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I managed to play through one game for about 45 minutes before it crashed cause the DS thought the game was no longer inserted.

this is my favorite video game. got it for my siblings and they loved it
