I am the kind of homeowner who keeps a box of spare parts for important appliances like AC units (I live in Arizona, so failed AC can be a life-or-death issue during the summer). But fortunately I had another spare 50 uf cap (off-brand), so I swapped it out again, and the pump was back in action. I was a little annoyed that a brand-new cap would fail after less than 2 months. After all, Amazon is full of no-name caps that are cheaper (which is what I had in my spare box after I used the TEMCo spare). So I decided to contact TEMCo to report the issue and to ask for a replacement. This is what earned them a 5 star review, despite the cap dying so quickly -- I got a response from TEMCo within less than an hour. Zero questions asked -- they just said they would immediately send out a new cap. And to my shock, on Sunday morning I found a FedEx package on the doorstep with a new cap. What the hell? You didn't need to send it via FedEx....but they did. Yes, caps should not fail after less than 2 months, but I accept the fact that life isn't perfect and every company will occasionally produce a dud part. But in this instance, TEMCo stepped up and went WAY over and beyond to make it right. That's pretty rare these days, and excellent service demands recognition.

TEMCo 30 uf/MFD 370 VAC Volts Round Run Capacitor fixed my Pentair pump problem with starting. The pump would not start on high speed. It would start on low speed but not on high. The start capacitor was bad. This capacitor was a good replacement, and fit the holder. Lots of others are too large in diameter and won't fit this pump but this one did. With the new capacitor, the pump starts normally. This product is an inexpensive replacement part and fairly easy to change. If ordering, make sure you chose a capacitor that matches the capacitor rating as well as the physical dimentions.

I order this Run Capacitor for the 2-HP Hayward Northstar pool pump, the pump makes humming noise but would not run, online information suggested that the capacitor malfunction. So I order this one with the same specs but the part number didn't match due to different manufacturer. This one I ordered has the best price and Amazon Prime offers two-day free shipping. Received the part right on time (two days), despite the weather was hot and humid in Texas, the pool didn't turn green in two days without the pump running. It took me two minutes to install this thing, I did prime the pump with a hose before I turn on the switch. Pump starts and run without a glitch. I gave a 4-star rating for quality and prompt shipping service. Not sure how long this part will last, I'll come back to add one more star if this part last past a year. I recommend this seller and this part!

Excellent experience with this item and the service. My pool pump is about two years old Superflo Pentair 2 HP. I bought the pump here from Amazon and installed it myself. Before ordering this part I checked the impeller was turning a big relief. Checked the capacitor with O/meter and sure there was no response which the number or the the gage goes up and back down. I needed this part fast . A- I Acid wash my pool about a month prior to this problem. B- the weather was around 90/F in the spring . I placed my order Monday at 3 in the morning . The same week Wednesday afternoon I was cleaning my pool which was running perfect. This seller is a Star *****. Thanks to all reviews just to add any helpful thought: 1- My pool pump Pentair 2 HP(superflo) 2- There are four terminals in each pole and no polarity you can pick and choose what works well for you. Also it is good to remember how the old one was attached before removing it. 3- To find a right match, size is important (Height, diameter, ). 4- Voltage and mfd are most important to match.

Installed myself in my central heat pump. Easy to do and saved hundreds of dollars. Very affordable and good product. I highly recommend.

Ordered this capacitor to replace the one in my jacuzzi water pump to get me through till I could get one that was the proper dimensions thinking this was 4.22" long. Turns out it was actually just shy of 3.5" long which was the same as the one I removed so I'm actually happier with the purchase then I expected but it is something to note for other buyers. Diameter was accurate

Replaced this capacitor on my hot tub motor and it started the pump when energized. Works great.
