I already had a wall box installed for running ethernet between floors, so this makes for an easy install. It's very similar to installing a wall switch in an electrical box except you don't have to prepare any wires. You just plug in the ethernet cable(s) in the wall box to the keystones, attach the wall plate, and plug in cables on the other side of the keystones.

I hate home improvement projects. We needed to install an ethernet port that connected from down by the router to upstairs in my son's room.
