Very helpful for procrastinators and everyone else too!
I'm on my last semester of school, finishing up my pre-nursing requirements. I'll admit I've been pretty slack... not in my grades, but failing to find out when the deadline was to apply to the nursing program and what the requirements were. I only found out that I needed to take the TEAS exam a few months ago, and since then, did absolutely nothing to prepare for it. A few weeks ago, I finally looked it up the nursing program requirements and deadlines and realized the deadline to apply was coming up very fast and I still had yet to take my TEAS. I quickly tried to sign up for the next upcoming test around my area, only to find that every single one was sold out. My only option was to drive to a school 2 hours away from where I live to take the test.. and it would be on the same week as the deadline to apply. Basically, I barely had any time to prepare for this test and the only thing I could think of was to buy this book and just try to cram as much as I could in the next week or two.Well guess what I did those two weeks? I still didn't study. I had this book but I only flipped through it a little. The truth is.. I was freaking out about not being prepared, fearing I knew nothing, having to wake up super early, and driving really far to take a 4 hour exam that I barely studied for and would determine what my life was going to be like upcoming fall.Anyways, long story short, I eventually mustered up the strength to study and used just this book and the accompanied videos online. I did all the practice tests and checked my answers and had a good idea of what the actual exam was going to be like. I can't compare this to other study material, but what I really like about this book is that it has explanations for all of the answers to the questions and that really helped me remember some of those older concepts and formulas that aren't so fresh in my head. The front of the book also had a lot of information for each section of the test. They were to the point and nicely summarized. In the end, with minimal studying and reviewing this book, I was able to make a 91 overall grade, while having less than 2 hours of sleep from anxiety the night before and the anxiety of getting lost in this random town and confusing college campus. So yes.. this book helped me a lot and I did better than I hoped to because of it.

Very thorough!
Worth the hype...As someone who lives a fast paced and jam packed life with little to no time to spare searching and sifting through endless fluff material, this was it for me. It includes specific information as to what the TEAS exam demands without beating around the bush. It is divided into every individual section found in the actual exam (reading, mathematics, science, english and language usage) in a detailed way, enough to give you the gist of each one and a review that helps you fully grasp the material. What really helped me was both the literal explanation and video review they provide. This is perfect for some of us who feel a little rusty on particular subjects we haven't necessarily brushed up on since highschool. I was feeling extra nervous about the mathematical and english and language usage topics but, this study guide was seriously such a relief and aid. It's timed practice tests for each category and subcategory are great for really getting a feel for what you need to work on and how to exactly pace yourself without panicking. Mometrix knows how to break down the TEAS exam into a less daunting obstacle. As a student who works two demanding jobs, I recommend this study guide to the fullest, its helped me overcome previous fears. Good luck!

By far the best TEAS study guide out there
Very helpful and comprehensive book, with concise but useful explanations for every question. It definitely helped me clarify some points and brush up on topics I had already started to forget. Great way to pinpoint those topics that need extra practice before the exam. I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because I felt like I completed the practice tests too quickly and wanted extra study materials (really just to ease my pre-test anxiety), even though all TEAS study guides seem to contain "only" 5 practice exams. This book will also provide you with very practical information about the TEAS test itself, and will give you tips on study techniques, timing yourself etc.I ended up using other books to supplement my studying, but none compared to this one. I literally checked out every other study guide available at the library, and Secrets of the TEAS V was by far the best.If it helps, I scored in the high 80s percentile and felt that the study guide was very close to the actual test.

I started using the Secrets of the TEAS V Study Guide a couple weeks ago, to help get me prepared to take my test. Since this is my first (and hopefully only) time taking the TEAS test, I was feeling anxious about what the test would be like. It's also been a couple years since I took Anatomy and Physiology, so I knew I needed to go back and review, but I wasn't really sure where to start. The guide walks you through each of the four areas that are covered on the TEAS, using clear examples and definitions throughout. Some of it was just review for me, while other areas I had completely forgotten, so I was able to focus extra time there. After taking the 1st of 4 practice tests, I feel so much better and a lot more prepared. I got a good feel for managing the time limit, I know where I need to focus more time studying as well as a good idea about what kind of questions will be on the actual TEAS. I think that studying with theSecrets of the TEAS V Study Guide has given me a leg up and will have me very prepared to do well come test time.
