Deserves 10 Stars!
When I first found out I have to put drops in my eyes every day for the rest of my life I freaked out. I am so useless at putting drops in my eyes that I had to get my husband to do it for me. And, even then I was not a "good patient" squirming and unable to keep my eyes open. It was torture for me. So grateful to have found Simply Touch! It works so well and is so easy to use that I could not believe it was actually working. I actually called the company directly to make sure that I was using the applicator properly and that "my eyes were not deceiving me" (pun intended). It was so easy and fast that I couldn't believe it was actually working or getting enough medication in my eye. To my surprise the company founder and inventor of Simply Touch took my call and very kindly and patiently answered all of my questions. He reassured me that I was in fact getting enough of the drops into my eyes and not to worry if I saw some liquid residual on the applicator after applying it. He explained how very little actually needs to get into your eye because our eyes cannot actually handle more than one drop. In fact, I learned that our eyes can only absorb a very small amount - only less than half of one drop. Most eye medication drops contain way too much for our eyes to absorb. This may benefit the drug companies and retailers who sell us the drops and medications, but it is certainly not in our best interest both financially and healthwise. These drugs have side effects! Big Pharma isn't as interested in making sure we only get the necessary amount in our eyes as they are in making sure that we keep buying those bottles of eye drops. If you have any trouble getting drops into your eyes and are concerned about saving money and minimizing the amount of drugs in your system, I HIGHLY recommend you spend the money on a Simply Touch - it is worth every single penny. I now have zero stress about putting drops in my eyes. Thankful I don't have to have someone else do it for me and I am saving money on not buying more medication than needed (this product at least doubles how many uses I get out of a bottle) and I have peace of mind knowing that I am not putting more drugs in my system than is necessary. Thank you Simply Touch!!!! If you run into problems using the applicator, before giving up on it, I highly encourage you to contact the company with your problems/questions. It made all the difference for me.

I Love This Little Eye Drop Applicator
I love this little eye drop applicator. I recently had eye surgery and had to use 4 different types of expensive prescription eye drops (i.e., 100s of dollars for tiny little bottles) 4 times a day for many weeks. This wonderful little eye drop applicator saved me from running-out of eye drops and having to buy more. It also pays for itself many times over by allowing over-the-counter eye drops, which I use for ongoing dry-eye conditions, to last almost twice as long. I really like that I no longer have to hold my head way back to use eye drops. I also give these as special gifts to my family, friends, and neighbors who struggle with trying to use old-style eye drop dispensing bottles. I keep one at home and one in my travel bag. After using, I wash it with a little anti-bacterial hand soap and rinse with warm water to keep it sanitary. I recently visited the simplytouchusa.com web site to listen to video testimonials from actual eye patients, and to learn more about how the applicator is made and how to use it, which was very helpful. This is a very unique type of eye drop applicator that is made right here in the USA from a special type of plastic. It saves up to 50% of over-the-counter and expensive prescription eye drop solutions, and even when it is turned sideways or all the way over, eye drop solutions will not fall-off the applicator (i.e., due to its unique and patented surface-tension design). The Inventor is a World-class, Board Certified, and award winning Ophthalmologist who has impressive medical credentials and extensive surgical experience in the specific area of cataract eye surgery.

I would not buy again. Extremely small and hard to handle.
great idea but the handle is so small I can hardly hold onto it while applying the drop. Way too much money for this tiny plastic produce.

Highly recommended for glaucoma or other prescription medication
I have only just begun to use Simply Touch but find it an extremely efficient and simple tool for administering eye drops. I sent an email to Simply Touch to confirm about proper usage for prescription glaucoma medication and was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the creator of Simply Touch, Dr. Silverman (it is so seldom to receive such a personal touch nowadays). My method now, based on the instructions given to me: using Simply Touch, put a drop in one eye; close that eye; while keeping that eye closed, put another drop of medication on Simply Touch and put that drop in the other eye; close that eye as well; keep both eyes closed for a minute or two; then wipe away an tears/excess medication from around the eyes. The common instructions for glaucoma medication when administering eye drops in the traditional manner is to have the head leaning back and to press against the tear ducts with your fingers to avoid the medication running down into the nose. With Simply Touch the drops are administered with the head upright; it was explained to me that there is no need to put the head back after administering the drops, nor is there need to press against the tear ducts; it is blinking, not gravity, that forces the medication into the tear ducts, so just wiping away any excess before opening the eyes/blinking is sufficient.

Not as good as I hoped
I started using eye drops for my tired eyes. Wasted too much trying the freehand application method. This looked to be the solution. Here's my problems with this: 1. The drops do not adhere to the device that well. If you tilt it while moving to your eye, you are likely to lose a good portion of the drop to the sink. Really need to hold it flat just before you get it to your eye. Kind of tricky. 2. All of the drop does not seem to transfer to your eye when the drop is touched to the insdide of your eye lid. I still see significant liquid left on the device after application. All in all, it may be a little easier than the freehand method, but it still seems I am wasting product.

An eye-cone tool works much better for him even if he has to lie on ...
Purchased for my physically handicapped brother. Tool is too small (about 1.5") for his very large fingers and hands. He could not could not keep an eye drop on it through the delivery process. An eye-cone tool works much better for him even if he has to lie on his back in bed to use it. But, he is using the Applicator to apply an eye gel to his eye. This Applicator works better then a Q-tip but I wish it was a little longer and had a bigger grip area. When you see it, you wonder how it can cost $12. And what's really amazing is the $5.00 + for shipping.

Thanks to this product, I can actually use eye drops!
This thing is a lifesaver. I've always struggled, to the extreme, to put in eye drops. Actually, until I got this product, I couldn't do it myself. The best-case scenario was during eye doctor visits. You know, when they pry your eye open, and put that orange staining liquid into your eye to dilate it? Even then, a lot of liquid would often cry itself out, or miss entirely. At least I got those cool shades when I left. Now I can put in eyedrops easily. It's never uncomfortable, and I no longer waste eye drops (which are invariably expensive). The product has 2 sides, one for prescriptions, one for general-purpose drops. The only actual difference is that one side holds higher surface tension than the other side does. Some considerations: - Despite what the image on the product may suggest, you do NOT apply the eye drops directly to your eye. Rather, you pull down your lower lid, and just touch the liquid (not the applicator) to the inside of that lid. The surface tension breaks, the drop goes into your lid. Then close your eye, look around and distribute it over the eye itself. - The product photo looks as though the applicator is stiff plastic, but it is actually soft and bendable. I think it may be silicon. This is a plus. - Try to avoid ever touching your eye with the applicator, and always clean it after applying.
