Can this hold 8 1/2 x 11 documents if you remove the plastic cash tray? The dimensions suggest yes, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried?

Full 1 subject notebook fits under the tray just fine and the dimensions is 10.5 x 8in. Standard computer printer paper is 8.5 x 11in and it fits just fine. Now if you was planning to put documents in a vanilla filing folder and putting it under the tray then I wont recommend it. It will be a bit to big. At the time of typing this out. I individual tried them just now. If any other questions just ask.

How much space is under the cash box while the tray is in there? Could you store things underneath?

I don’t know, but mine was delivered broken!! Didn’t return it as I needed it that day 😩
