The Mingling of Souls Study Guide

Not my jam at all. It was pretty cringey and I didn't get very far. Not necessarily a bad book for everyone? I just wish it had been more relatable and written better lol

Great study for couples. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian, non-Christian, single, newly married, or married for 50 years, this study has great application for all. I definitely recommend the DVD also. Matt Chandler will keep you entertained while teaching life application for a healthy Godly marriage or prepping for that marriage you want in the future. If you want to know what God has intended for your marriage look no further.It does not parse the Scripture like Tommy Nelson did in his “Song of Solomon” study but had more application. If you are looking to really dig into the details of each verse I’d highly recommend Tommy Nelson over this.

Ever since my boyfriend and I started dating, we've been doing the study guide together. We love the discussion it presents for us--despite how uncomfortable it can be sometimes, it's awesome because it forces us to open up and be honest about some perspectives and see what God has to say on it all. It's been really edifying for us to talk to our friends about some things. We've even gotten other couples to start it and so it makes for a good transparent group to be accountable with. Very thankful for it. God has this book to really reveal a lot of His design for us.

My small group and I went through this study together, we have all gained so much wisdom and have truly enjoyed the study. Matt's teachings are biblical, with the scripture well laid out in the study guide, the questions were excellent ways to deepen our understanding, as well as great conversation starters. Highly recommend this study to any group wanting to dig into dating, and marriage, God's way!

THIS! Love how Matt has used this book to communicate the most important relationship between husband and wife as the picture between Christ and the church. Amazing work and for everyone to read even if you are married or single. So thankful for God’s work in Matt.

Note: You need to get the DVDs to follow along with the study guide. This book doesn't follow the actual book very well. With that said it was a good book for my husband and I to go through together it offered some good questions and I would say we enjoyed it overall.

Our small group has been going through this series and it has been great, we watch the videos for free on rightnowmedia. If you can not watch the videos then this book might not make a whole lot of since since it references them each chapter.

I absolutely love this book my Matt Chandler! I read it and then my husband and I listened to the podcast series by the same name and we got so much out of it. I highly recommend it in combination with the podcast series named "A Beautiful Design" from The Village Church. Matt Chandler has a gift for communicating earnestly yet simply and this book is truly a blessing.
